Hey guys, i previously posted some photos of the My Monte with a design of some stickers that i was going to have put on..

 

a lot of people didn't like the design and was getting some bad comments, well they have been put on and i have finally seen it.. 

 

in my opinion they look Fantastic! i LOVE them! 

 

its my birthday today which is the reasoning why i have only just seen it, i had to wait until the day, so they could do me some sort of unveiling.. which was really good! 

 

oh yeah, ive also had my own private plate put on!

Stickers look OK to me.  A bit OTT, but nothing that you won't get used to and certainly makes it stand out.

 

I'm more confused by the plate.

I assume this is a new 63 plate car?

It now looks like an F reg.

If you wanted your initials, why not get a 63 plate with your initials on it?

Like MC63 then your initials.

 

OK, it's unlikely to be an F reg, but it could be two, four or more years old with the age hidden by the plate.

 

I recently upgraded my Mum's Yeti.

Got her initials, 63 and then FOX.  As it's a 63.

I'm in my 40's and I was as happy as a pig in poo when I got my new Monte in May so you must be stoked.

I'm divided on the graphics but it's your toy so do what you want with it, just look after it.

The plate looks good on the car, I love having a plate that's personal to me.

Due to the graphics the drums stick out like sore thumbs so do what me and many others have done and paint them up asap... easy job!

My first car at 17 was also red and black but not quite as new or stylish - a 1979 Talbot Sunbeam with a 928cc engine taken from the Hillman Imp! 0-60 in about 22 seconds; overtaking was not an option. How cars have come on since I started driving in the late 80s!

Happy birthday Jay definitely MUCH better than the shart I drove around in my youth! Enjoy every minute of it!

.......I have to be honest though I do think the car looks alot better without the stickers; I am a real OEM kind of bloke though so that'd have to be my comment, were all different!

Not my cuppa, but not as bad as I was expecting. The way the pattern ends at the back bumper area looks a little odd. Perhaps a small piece of sticker to finish the rectangle that's chopped off there would complete the look?

People spend thousands and thousands on cars, only to watch them depreciate and change them.

Yet they spend next to nothing on a personalised regestration number that'll stay with them for years and years, getting something in the budget area.

 

To me (and this may be a personal thing) something you will keep for the rest of your life warrants more than what you may spend in petrol over a month or two, while the car it's on you only have for a few years and lose maybe £6,000 in depreciation on.

That said my old man bought an M3 prefix plate for his E46 M3 a few years ago for next to nothing and I bet its worth a bit of money now. If you buy cheap but wisely you could do quite well out of it.

Thing is I like the number plate I have

Being a cheap form of personalisation was a bonus

What with children and a mortgage I couldn't justify buying a 4 figure number plate when the money could be used elsewhere

There's nothing funnier than seeing an S8 number plate on an Audi A4 1.9TDi  

 

Or S80 on a Volvo S40

I had a great day, finally seeing the car with all the stickers on was such a relief, in photos it doesn't look as good as in person.

 

I had this done to stand out from overs, and I think it will defiantly work
