New wiper blades

Featured Replies

Needing some new wiper blades but what do I search for as the arm fittings are different from my mk1?

Also should I buy cheap ones or expensive ones. I used piaa on my last car but as there not the same I can't use them.

Bosch.

I won't use any other brand. Have them on both cars and the van.

I always use Bosch as well, they outlast anything else.

buy cheap, buy twice

Bosch but buy from this place, not halfords! Stick you car details in. Good price and quick delivery.

Am I looking for multi fit or side pins ones?

Side pin. Valeo blades are imo equal quality to Bosch blades.

Surprisingly the Goodyear multi fit ones (from Costco) on the wives Fabia are excellent on that but sucked on my Octavia.

Amazon is a good source of wiper blades!

Hi all, my first post so go easy on me please.

I drive a taxi for a living and I've tried loads of different wiper brands over the years, any thing from £40 down to as little as £2 l found these recently on Amazon so thought I'd give them a try, now I've only had them on the car for about a month, but for a fiver they are absolutely fantastic, and definitely not a false economy IMO I also changed the wipers on the wife's Subaru (always had Bosh in passed) without telling her that they were the cheapie ones (as they look the same as the bosh) she said they do job just perfectly, hers were slightly cheaper from Ebay, but from the same company.

A couple of people on here tried some cheap ones and were happy for the first month; after that they started to squeak and streak quite badly. Having done this myself in the past and brought a cheap set before winter, I ended up replacing them half way through. Like tyres, bulbs and brakes it is one area not to scrimp one.

Ebay is your friend. Bought a full set for my estate earlier this year, after someone on here recommended them, for about £12! Can't fault them, fitted with no fuss and are still working well now, why pay double/triple just for a name.

Wish I could remember the seller. I'm sure someone will come along and help with the sellers name.

Bosch always !

Goodyear ones from costco lasted precisely 12 months in the wife's mk5 golf, which I wasn't too impressed with as they weren't the cheapest option.

How do I know 12 months exactly?

Fitted them to get it through it's 2012 MOT and it's just failed it's 2013 MOT on the wiper blades...

I got them on a BOGOF offer from there. Been on for over a year now I think and still streak and noise free. I usually replace my wipers yearly as they end up streaky or with nicks in the rubber.

As I said these didn't work on my Octavia mk2 and came off after 2 days as they were so noisy.
