No update here.  Order accepted by factory 6th Dec. No build week as of tuesday.

Nope.  After slipping west 7 weeks last week I don't dare call the dealer.  I'll leave it another couple of weeks if I can.

28/1/14. Latest status now build week 19 with shipping looking at around the end of May for delivery.   

Dealer phoned today and is reporting a build date of week 17 , thats back to the original week after spending the last month at week 19. fingers crossed it keeps moving in that direction :peek:  Original order date 27th December. TSI hatch in Meteor Grey.

Not a December order but, On the 2nd week of January I Placed an order for a white octavia vrs combi TSI, black pack, hill holder and sunset glass, dealer at the time was saying end of March for delivery, but he did say at the time if I was ordering a diesel I’d be looking at 3-4 months maybe longer due to demand. And as mine was petrol the waiting time would not be as bad..Still no build date yet…

Anyone else in Ireland have one ordered or get a build date from a Dec/Jan order?

Just cancelled my order on a black vrs estate diesel with all the options. Dealer has been great. They were up front when I ordered but yesterday they couldn't even guarantee a July/Aug delivery on a Dec order. Deposit refunded with apologies and best wishes on top. They even tried to source one of a similar spec from a bulk fleet order that was due... that may explain a few things?!? But alas none had the pano roof I wanted so... off to look for something else! Gutted but I can't wait that long... :-(

Next on my list is a C Class Estate 220CDi AMG Sport Plus demonstrator that's fully loaded and only a year old. Colour not the top of my list but the spec is tremendous and it's a lovely car. Can't compare to the Vrs though. It's a different animal altogether.

 

Feel a bit sad. :-(

Not looked myself at c class but reading another members post on plan b thread, there are currently very good deals on new C class AMG sport estates as it's on run out for new model in June. I'm currently getting over £6K off on eclass estates and if I recall it was £8-9K off on other member's posts.

This way you may get colour and spec you want for same or less money than demonstrator.

Mine is now at the dock, waiting on a boat. Hopefully not long now.

I've just collected my C250 and as with anything there's plusses and minuses between any 2 cars.

That said I've been grinning from ear to ear since I picked it up and it does feel a special place to be.

All in all with everything taken into account (like I could get one, lol), I'm actually pleased at how it's ended up.

Will try to get some pics up on the Plan B thread.

Thanks Steve, I did look into it but with the AMG Sport Plus spec now unavailable it would be a costly exercise to add the goodies I wanted. Also this demo has over and above the already high spec! I'm off to see if I can't strike a deal... :-)

Well I had a good look round today at some possible alternatives. And it's no wonder the vrs is so popular. Couldn't find anything that ticks so many boxes. Looks like I'll be waiting. Still no clue what's going on. Last I heard from the dealer there was a complete hold on the vrs. Nothing currently being built. And still no build week. What's going on???

Just found out that my order for my vRS TDI hatch (placed 17th December) has been confirmed for build week 12, which I believe is next week! 

Not bad considering my original provisional BW was 16

Update from my dealer today....

Still nothing on the system. Ordered xmas eve

Call from the dealer tonight. Car is being delivered tomorrow. I'll be picking it up on Monday. So that's 15 weeks from order to pickup. Excited

Dealer called today vrs tdi ordered 17th dec confirmed bw12 happy days

E-mail received from dealer to confirm factory have accepted order and BW 15 confirmed for my VRS TSI hatch in metal grey. Order placed 18th December. Anticipate delivery by mid May assuming no slippage to BW or any other issues.

I'll say this very quietly <Things seem to be progressing nicely... Ssshhhh>

Glad for you that some are starting to move through.  I'm still sulking about my bw slip from 13 to 20.   It's not at all galling to read of orders close to mine getting built 5 to 8 weeks earlier..... [Clenched teeth] I really am happy for you [/clenched teeth] 

Hi all, me again. I gave in and rang the dealer for my Thursday update.  I was bw20 2 weeks ago. Since then I'm told I've been be 21  , 15  :love:  but only for a few seconds and now I'm 19 unconfirmed.  Very apologetic dealer, they say in one breath be pleased as other orders they have, placed within days of mine (18/12/13)  still have no bW. The next breath they say provisional bw means nothing anyway.  When I asked when they might have any new info I was told the Thursday update is currently much more fluid.... seems like it's all being made up as we go along. Pfff.

Well, they did promise a complete refund of the deposit if I cancel.  Trouble is.... I want a vrs

 

The wait continues. Red tsi manual hatch, just sunset glass....now where did Iput that mMazda brochure ....
