paul, you say it's not the best sound, it's a damn sight better than standard, I wouldn't mind it on my car.

"not the best" meaning i've heard better sounding 1.8T's, but i love it nonetheless, and definitely an improvement over stock.

And here are a couple of pictures with the custom front grill on the car:

Adding to my maintenance and preventative mods I replaced the sai pump rivets with m4 40 machine bolts washers and nyloc nuts and also done the pikey arch mod with a b&q plastic vent riveted and sprayed black.

Not done a lot to mine lately but a couple of things.

I had real carbon dash but is was looking crud as the fibre matting keeps pulling away and i have never been able to use ash tray without is catching the gear surround so got hold of a spare set and also a std Octy ash tray with the cigy pic on it to be different.

So here's how it was (looked good if not to close up)

CarbonDash007.jpg

now with carbon effect wrap on top and gear surround(left ashtray blank as like it strangely that way)

Top notch as always Bowders. Are you going to fit one of those powergasket thingies? Not looked into them much, but apparently they keep the incoming air a lot cooler(?)

I already have one of those fitted buddy[emoji12]

Well, to tell you the truth, your car has been a great inspiration ;)

Cheers buddy. Nice to know a car is used as a base for someone else modding. [emoji4]

Fitted new pads and discs upfront on saturday, then this morning had drivers side apart to cure a squeal. Cleaned the pads and disc as there was some grease under the pad, added some copper grease and squeal is gone and breaks are good

Finally got round to fitting my FMIC this weekend. Its only a Toyosports one but seems to do the trick. Kept it looking stealth with the original grills in place for now. All the nice shiney pipework has inspired me to start looking at some other under the bonnet goodies so watch this space.

Been prepping my new inlet manifold for painting too, pics to follow.

Will fit to my newly built large port head, flowed and using Newmans fast road cams.

Which will fit to my newly built bottom end with uprated crank, rods, pistons, acl bearings, girdled block....

Which mates up to.... tell ya later :x
