Now that my poor little Fabia VRS SE has been written off, I'm after a replacement. The preferred option is looking like a 1-3 year old diesel Mk II Octavia VRS.   Possibly a Blackline edition if I can find one in budget.

 

What do I need to know / look out for?

I saw on some other posts the FL engine mentioned.  Is that another deisel variant, if so what's the difference?

The Face lift version is a CR Diesel and the Pre FL ( but not all ) were PD Diesel

 

The PD version wen't very good with the DPF but the CR 's are a vast improvement
