C'mon I'm counting on a good write up so I can do mine!

 

Very tempted to take the Ibiza apart this year, but worried that by the time it comes to refit the engine I will have forgotten where everything fits or that I'll leave something I need on the shell when its scrapped.

 

Its acting as an expensive wheel store at the moment (11 wheels in the boot :))

Started to mark out some metal I could chop out!

Might get the engine out tomorrow :) then strip and spray the engine bay!

Also removing wiper bottle etc and as much front end weight as possible is going!

Another day and the engine is still in! After a PITA of a morning wales has decided to throw it's normal weather at me!

It's ready to just lift out I've got it all ready now :)

Its all disconnected but the ground is now too muddy for a crane lol

did you have to pull the driveshafts out or were they the type where you can unbolt them leaving the inner ends of the shaft in the gearbox?

Un bolt from gearbox then jiggle it about and they dropped down

Right how good is the factory power steering going to be? Do I need it?

If you can wire it in keep it, i didn't tho i ran the mech pump off the auxiliary of the 1.8t and had a new line made up
