Nope.

1. It's a W reg, so can't have a Y reg plate put on it.

2. It's well overpriced.  I paid half that for my estate and half that all in for my Hatch all done up.

    Jeez sod that cheaper to do up the X Reg one in the case of that one :P

    im talking about the 1.4 16V lump in the Mk1 Fabia :)

     

    Mine has 100k on it, seems reliable and delivers around 50mpg.

    Also likes a bit of revving.

    What's not to like, other than the low gear ratios.  4,000rpm at 80mph. (calculated...)

    That's better than the Clio it was reading 90 so only really doing mid 80s and it was absolutely screaming at nearly 5k rpm on the way down the A470 the other day and when you rag it I get about 15 mpg if flat out :)

    I spotted that fabia for £1600 and my only thought was the price must be a joke. That or they've seen the others disappear. :-)

    No, it's the FG premium dealers are charging.

     

    The other two on there are 1,395 and 1,995.

    Both early Fabias with no air-con.

    So a quick scout around the garages and the loft reveals 6 boxes of Fabia interior parts, a bumper, a complete front end x2, 1.2 engine and gearbox, car is stacked to the roof full of parts, 1.8T at a mates workshop, so in summary I've got too many bits lying about fueling this addiction what's even more worrying is that I've got enough parts lying about to repair a crash damaged Fabia with front need damage

    A bit ot but a rather fancy looking red vrs has not long gone onto ebay. Has a custom golf r32 rear bumper which looks smart :)

    I have been told that it can do 100mph in 4th at 6000rpm.

     

    is that doable?

    financial suicide but id like to supercharge the 1.4 MPI, get one with A/C pull the pump off and fit a Scharger in its place. :)

    Only ever done a head rebuild and did by diff but i can't imagine it to be that difficult

    Rebuilt a CVH engine with uprated parts from scratch when it went back in the Escort it was running 200ish bhp
