They suite the Superb really well, I'm thinking of getting them done in another shade like a black chrome at a later date. They still look really smart at the moment but I know for a fact as soon as some new tyres go on it'll be mine that get scuffed! :( 

If you haven't sorted tyres yet, I seriously am amazed at the efficientgrip performance tyres. Also I noticed they are doing a £40 fuel voucher (Tesco) when buying 4 - camskill are participating. My local tyre guy unfortunately wasn't.

 

Hey, Jake, you know me with tyres:  Sailun Atrezzo Z4s every day.  I've been absolutely delighted with mine - great road-holding, comfort, noise; 20,000+ on the front with 3mm left (Contis were gone at 16,000) - I'll never buy another make of tyre; they're down to about £60 a corner fitted now from ValueTyres.  Got some new ones now to go on the rear, moving the Kumho KU37s to the front; they'll then wear quicker and I can have Sailuns all round.

 

I know I'll get some grief over this - "the only bit of your car which touches the road"; "only trust the Big 6"; "they're cheap for a reason"; "when a toddler walks out into the road", blah, blah, blah... But these tyres have felt every bit as safe and secure in all weathers and at all speeds as the premium brands I've owned many times in the past.  Besides, in an emergency stop, your suspension and brakes play such a significant part that you wouldn't know what was attributable to the tyres; I don't see many people fitting carbon/ceramic brakes or uprated shocks to improve their safety...

And for that reason, you should only trust the big 6 companies.

I remember you mentioning the Sailuns before, and I read nothing but good about them at the time. I notice that they do an all season version too.

Only reason I mentioned the GY EGP was because I've just made the switch from the Contis, and seeing ridiculous fuel efficiency gains.

Anyway, get those pics of your new wheels up sharpish (please).

They look like a squadron of stormtroopers marching on Poland. Or perhaps the blades of a human threshing machine invented by Dr. Death.  Or perhaps a demonic windmill ripping the sky to threads.  

 

I think they're quite nice...

Anyway, all done.  Dull day with lots of rain, but even so, not quite so shiny as they looked in the garage.

 

To look like a member of the Serbian Mafia, though, you don't need "shiny" wheels; you need aggressive, sinister, "shut the f*** up" wheels.  These fit the bill admirably. Which is nice.

 

Got new rubber all round - the one and only Sailun Atrezzo Z4s.

Not a fan of black and polished wheels TBH (purely because of the whiteworm issue they will all eventually suffer) but they look the best by far and much better than the R8’s.

As the kids would say: them wheels is looking well sick man.

Look really good for now, but keep on top of them otherwise the same thing that happened to the Thermisto will happen to these as well and the dreaded white worm of lacquer delamination will set in. Also don't forget to notify your insurance company you are now running non standard wheels.
