Citigo Black Edition Due For Collection Soon

Featured Replies

Hi all -

I ordered a 3dr Black Edition Citigo today. Will hopefully collect on Thursday (though don't have time booked from work yet, lol). Have you any idea what test mileage a new car is liable to come with?

GreyBear.

I think mine had 7 or 8 miles on it when I collected it.

Same as above, my Greentech had 7 miles on the clock on collection.

I hope mine is similar otherwise I'll likely be on a complete downer. I know that vehicles can be used for test drives even if unregistered if they have dealer plates on them - wouldn't like the idea that mine had been test driven by a customer :rain:

Think mine had about 3 or 4 miles on it when I got it. The dealer often takes it to a local petrol station to put £20 in.

You must have a decent dealer, mine sticks £20 in and when you look at the invoice the B@rsteward has charged me for it

It's normally standard practice to charge but mine didn't. I know when Mrs markyg got her polo I told the vw garage not to put the 20 on the invoice as I refused to be charged interest on it, I said I'd pay separately for it.

I got charged on both of mine [emoji19]

Oddly mine had 52 miles on it, mine must of been tested on the Nurburg ring or something

Hi Hyphons,

Did you accept this without question?

I should be excited, but I can't shake the feeling that I'm gonna sit down at the wheel of my brand spanking new, undriven car, and find out that it's been driven 30 or 40 odd miles. It would pain me more-so as the ONLY reason I opted for a new car was because I wanted a car with no history, and no concerns of how the previous owner had treated the vehicle. The car itself was being shipped over from another dealers' compound.

I just don't want the mileage to be above 10 miles... otherwise I'll wind up thinking that I've just spent 10K so I could get an untouched, unspoilt car only to find out that it has been spoilt, touched and possibly mistreated in its brief spark of an existence before it arrived with me

The dealer can make the mileage NIL if you really want it to be, but they would rather it show 7,15 or 3 miles

So how can they make it NIL miles? Well, within the manufacturers computer system below a certain mileage threshold they have the capability to roll back if required. For some cars it possible to do this by a certain button pressing on the dash and key position ...... Again below a threshold

If your car is on a PCP agreement make sure it is known your pickup mileage as the finance generally shows NIL

Wonder if anyone's been seriously sneaky and done this every 4 or 5 miles, and had low miles for ages!

Not sure your being serious?

The car will have some mileage more if it's a dealer transfer as they could drive it between dealership.

Pdi test drive

On and off transporters and storage area where there car could well have sat for months

Factory testing

It's still a new car declared new at 1st registration

If your this paranoid now what you gonna do when it gets scratched or damaged?

It can only be performed once or twice depending on brand, upto a certain threshold

If it has more than 10 miles on it i would scrub it clean in case it has ....EBOLA.

Sorry for the delayed response, I honestly thought nothing of it, this was my first ever car after passing me test, I had to get mummykins to help with the purchase, I assumed 52 was pretty low for a brand new car and nothing unusual, but I stand by my theory of it was tested on the nurburg ring

I used to deliver Fleet cars all around the country. Some were run in before the user had their turn.
