Skoda Octavia II 2.0 TDi Laurin & Klement DSG Estate on an 06 plate

Featured Replies

Apparantly both mirrors dim but not had chance to try them yet.

I thought you meant about parking mirror on the left as it moves to show the kerb when reversing.

You can tell whether it's a dimming door mirror glass, as there's a band/edging/bezel around the outside of the glass

Quite right - sorry, forget about the older early BT modules that worked just via Maxidot

Probably quite difficult to get hold of now though?

There's a few on ebay going cheap that pop up now and then. I got mine for less than £20 delivered!

I do get the phonebook etc on the Columbus too.

My 06 l&k tdi dsg  has got tinting mirrors all round but no hids, somebody fitted a parrot bluetooth, the radio is a stream.

P.s did not know thee mirrors were so dear, are thet replaceable with standard ones if damaged?

Just bought a Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDi Laurin & Klement DSG Estate on an 06 plate and I come from the Holmfirth area.

This is my first Skoda and so far, so good.

Welcome.

Look out for my grey Scout knocking around, I'm in Upperthong!

My sister has moved to Meltham so I will be up your way from time to time.

It has the dimming exterior mirrors - just checked today.

With the Xenon lights, should the high beam come on automatically when needed?

  • Author

Well, it has factory fitted Xenons! Which I set to auto come on that is why I wondered if the high beam worked the same or not! I don't think the high beam does!

Nope, just dipped beam that come on automatically. Still handy though :)

I'm quite jealous to be honest.

Does it have ESP too?

Nope, it doesn't look like it has as I see no button except an ASR Off button.
