Has anybody had an email off Rockingham stating item shipped?  I have, it was shipped on the 4th Feb but nothing has arrived yet.

I didn't think anything is "physically" shipped.  All the stuff was emailed to my knowledge.

I got the same Email from them too, Don't think it means anything because everything you need is to be printed off anyway.

As I suspected, just got me thinking when the email stated your item has been shipped.

Looking good Jason, I am guessing as I have never been to Rockingham, I would imagine the track feels quite slow to drive as it is spread out over a large area?

I know it is a fast circuit, what did you think?

The banking bit featured in my photo feels it, but the actual "corner" scared the hell out of my as taking it at about 90 to 100mph and it feels "tight" at that speed, yet you are very concious if you lose control you are in to that concrete wall at some pace!  I actually braked for it in the end.  A Fabia is not really designed for this sort of work so didn't have the pace for that fast corner compared to may cars there which were actual track cars.

 

The main inside the bowl parts of the circuit feel like any other though really.

I am looking forward to the national meet, camping the night before and then see how the Golf gets on, it is heavier than the Fabia so cornering at 100mph may not be an option  :peek:

It's all about stability.  There was a fairly horrible crosswind yesterday (a blustery SW breeze!) which did nothing to help.  I think with no buffeting I might have tried to hold more speed, but I would rather keep the car in one piece and knock 15 to 20mph off the cornering speed

That makes a lot of good sense Jason.. also called self preservation! Looking forward to your video on it.

OK - here is one lap, with a bit of buffer at each end of the pit straight, and also a nice "oops I forgot to chop out the 2 seconds" in the middle from between blackvue clips.  It does mean you see me catching the 911 twice though    Excuse the sound as mic feedback quite bad on the blackvue and my rattly car doesn't help.

 

Looks good, I particularly like the amount of coned off areas to run into should the laws of physics be defied.  Except the wall, that looks like it could do some damage.

yeah, I'm going to be bloody careful on that corner with the wall! lol...

Skodas don't need garages.

Hmmm, the garage was really useful.  I would recommend booking at LEAST one if just for storage of stuff.  Enough room for 4 cars but cars don't need garages.  But storing stuff does.
