BRISKODA National Trackday @ Rockingham

Featured Replies

Hmmm, the garage was really useful.  I would recommend booking at LEAST one if just for storage of stuff.  Enough room for 4 cars but cars don't need garages.  But storing stuff does. :)

I went through over a tank of diesel!  Glad I took in 20 litres in a can as I couldn't drive to petrol station on my toasty slicks :D

But Rockingham have a fuel station or something though don't they? Do they not do diesel?

Not V Power diesel no.  :D

Have enquired about a garage :)

I just hope there's no similar amount of "racecars" there.

It turned out at my event that a third party made a block booking and the actual organiser never knew it was filled with members from "Track Attack" club.

We need nails and bits of wood then.I'll bring the nails, you bring the wood and Colin can bring the hammer.

I have a garage now, so people can store some bits if needed :)

Ooooo, I want in on this sooooooo bad!!

Anyone want a kidney? Haha

  • 2 weeks later...

I will hopefully be booking and paying for this next week

I've booked my National tickets but not booked the trackday yet...  I'm hopefully buying a track toy in the next week or so, if I can find another £1.5k...  easy, right? :|

all being well, this will be my first outing in it but that does mean the Audi will be staying at home...

What's the track toy?

That would be telling ;)  I'm saying nothing as it may not come off...

There was a BMW in the frame but that has been canned due to the engine that was fitted, asthmatic was an understatement...

Right, paid up so I guess I'm in...

Attendance list is building up nicely. Need more!

If your wondering just go for it, drive at your own pace and enjoy it. Simple to let faster cars go by.

I did my first Blyton last year and sooooo glad I did. Cannot wait for this one.

That's what I thought, if nothing else it will be a bit of fun, which is what it's supposed to be really.

I best take 100 litres in tanks then if your diesel used so much fuel, my VR6 will use gallons at only 65 miles to £85  :(

Anyone reserved a couple of garages? :D

No-one else try - I have emailed the contact, Will, at Rockingham and will see how much it costs. :)

PS: Mr VR6T - They do have petrol for sale on site. :)  Not sure what times of the day though.

I sort of have a garage, I've named it Ford Transit :D

Garages are £25 iirc Jason, I might book one, use as a storage shed or as usual my garage becomes somewhere for Cossie to make his running repairs and show his ass crack to the world  :peek:

^^^ :p

Ah - oh well, I have asked anyway and shall book an additional one alongside Charlie should it be possible.  Having garages makes a good focal point for the day :D

I hope the same burger van is there too.  Was quite good food when I was there earlier this month.

My aim for Rockingham is to drive the car onto the trailer at the end of the day. If I need to use the winch, I will have failed.

my aim is to not hit the wall on a track I have never driven! lol.... may go for a passenger ride with Jason first ;) , three days till I book on track!
