Wonder if the configurator has a sister, could be popular going down as often as it does.

  • Well here she is !  Over the moon with it.   Missing roof rails though and have been told that they should have been there and to await a bulletin from skoda about them ( mind you i like it without

Thats terrible!  One of the salesmen told me a while back about the boss ordering the staff to jack the cars down at the shows but have never seen any evidence of it until now.  He said they did it with the monte carlo as well.

PS, how come Skoda can never get their cars to run low yet the golfs and audi cars fill the arches better?  Is it different springs?

The one thing I can't stand on this forum is chaps like you, sorry buddy that my car is quick, no need to get personal and start lobbing ****e like you are, maybe you are the one that needs the cold air!

I suppose APR & HS are both talking BS too, mk7 GTI remapped by APR stage 1 able to achieve 5.6 0-60, must be BS with a 1/4 mile time of 13.1 @ 110mph, again must be BS.

HS producing a mk7 GTI with stage 1 apr, drag tyres able to do a sub 13second 1/4 mile, must be BS too as unless it's a Fiesta ST, doesn't seem like any other car could possible be any good nor that fast in your eyes.

No cars are quick, and mapped  cars are quicker.

But if someone answers or posts on 220/230 ps cars then maybe before you start talking about 6 second full laden cars,

mention yours is not actually a standard car.

Because it comes across as who can pee the highest but i am going to keep my zip closed.

Post #77 you are talking about standard vRS 2.0tsi 220 ps cracking 0-60 in 6 seconds.

When did they start managing that?

Sorry no idea why you should think i have any interest in Fiesta ST's.

I know what speed their 180 ps and Overboost gives, and funnily also what the Clio RS 200T,s are good for.

I only drive autos by the way, so never driven a Fiesta, plenty of Skoda's though, and a few mapped ones.

  • 3 weeks later...

"If the Octavia RS 230 were an animal, you would think twice before approaching it"

Oh please.

http://www.skoda-auto.com/en/models/octavia-rs-230/ Website now updated with a bit more detail.

Thanks for posting that.

Confirmation it'll get the black 19's and black pack bits and bobs, plus black tailpipes.  Still nothing on the uk site and no info on pricing either.

I think early indications were a potential £1,000 uplift from existing base vRS prices.

I bet a hatch with dsg is probably nudging £28k including the MY16 increase. They won't want it priced to close to the seat cupra/cupra st.

Bit of a tease from skoda on Twitter. I thought it was coming to the UK.

it was in their uk website? They should make their minds up

Oh and they should also sack their ps guy for his halfords sized wheels in the wheel arches. As if a vRS would ever be that low or fill the arches! :(

Impressive, Skoda have worked out how to fit 21" rims under the standard Octavia body, and without any arch mods!

Appears to have chrome grill surround which the show car didn't have, so a dodgy photoshop of a standard vrs.

"We're not sure yet if it'll arrive on our shores, Rob. We'll let you know as soon as we know"

Grrr...  If this drags on much longer work'll just tell me to jfdi and order a "regular" vRS.

How the "insert swear word" do they not know, when it's supposed to be on sale in July. I've been too busy looking at the superb video today and thinking might be a better long term purchase.

Some 230 related info on the my16 thread here:  http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/349280-my16/?p=4225163

Looks like it gets leather as standard (well, in Finland anyway..)

RS230 is now listed as a new spec.

• PFD "RS mode selection" is standard on RS230, 195€ on RS

• PG2 "Glossy black roof rails" 150€ for RS, standard on RS230

• PLG "RS leather/faux leather seats" standard on RS230

• PLK "Black pack" standard on RS230

I'm blowing hot and cold with the 230 every time I see the new superb I just think it's going to be a great family car and tick all the my boxes (especially with the 280 petrol) and would like to hope it doesn't depreciate quite as fast as the octavia.

There is this HD walk around.

Still no news from skoda UK.

Just wondering if something is afoot, as the configurator is offline for maintenance, so maybe an update on specs etc?

I'd still love to see a 4x4 version of the vRS and I'd bite their hand off if it were offered.

The configurator has been down for a few days and information on here suggests it is for incorporating model changes.

Agreed, huge amount of fun!

Its already avaiable.  It has 300 bhp and four wheel drive and costs £33k.

unfortunately they've put golf badges on it too..
