230 Bhp Vrs

Featured Replies

I agree the pricing isn't right. Even with some stuff as standard (black design pack plus, leather etc) the moment you start adding any other options you are going to be knocking on £30k territory. Heading into year old Mercedes territory.

Now if the 230 was infact a 276 and 4wd I could see the attraction.

Very true, hence why the Mercedes C Class was my first choice............just try buying one! I thought Audi dealers are bad!

If the "Special Edition" was 4wd I'd place an order for one, put at 230 I know it's got the magic diff but I'd rather just remap a standard one.

Wonder if the configurator has a sister, could be popular going down as often as it does.

  • Well here she is !  Over the moon with it.   Missing roof rails though and have been told that they should have been there and to await a bulletin from skoda about them ( mind you i like it without

Where are you with this Rob? Have you gone with a standard vRS?

Yes, order will be placed in the next few days.  220, black pack, columbus, sunset, heated seats and nozzles, rear bags and a spare.

Got another we still don't know anything response from skoda UK on Twitter yesterday. Become a bit of a running joke now. :-)

You are forgetting the heated windscreen.... Only needed for a few months each year but so good...

yeah, i did consider that but i'm lucky enough to have a driveway with a high hedge and electric gate, so when the weather is cold i can start the car and let it idle for a few mins before i start defrosting, so the heated screen isn't really necessary.  I'd have liked to have moon white or meteor as my last two cars have been candy, but again, i couldn't really justify the extra.

same here but also under the same thought. Just for the record I'm not copying you honest! ;)

You'd be please to know I've gone for the correct fuel this time :)

Anybody spotted that the 230 has disappeared from the price list?

Oh.

Wouldn't surprise me!!! Still awaiting confirmation about if I have sat nav on mine or not!!

Skoda "Simple" Clever

Hmmm. Just wonder if they have had a rethink with all the new big bhp hot hatches coming the market or are they comet rating on the superb launch. That said I suspect most vrs owners wouldn't choose a civic type r Or a megane Rs as they are less civilised and more hardcore.

I sent a query from their website asking about the 230 last week... they was quiet eager to contact me back (several missed calls) eventually told that just keep an eye on facebook offical page and contact a dealer.... usual blurb! also claimed they might be too busy with the superb launch and dont want to distract from it? At least they got back too us quickly... didnt expect that!

I might ask if the 230BHP is a typo, since the Leon has a 280BHP engine ;-)

Also, a grand for a performance upgrade (cough*remap*cough) is a bit steep....

I would rather have the addition of 4x4 capability than a miserly 10 BHP to power.

Like I said as it stands I'm out, I won't be investing.

Just buy the Superb 280.  :)

Nooo. Too big, Octavia is just the right size,

It does have adaptive dampers though, me thinks a test drive might be in order

yep, the got back to quickly to tell you they don't know anything..   :dull:

tbh the "check face book regularly" comment was the same they said to me back in early March when this was on the stand at Geneva.  Its now almost July and still no information available...

Would love a superb with the 280bhp enginee in but your looking over £30k which I suspect (if prices reappear) will be quite a few grand more than the tooth hurty

You need a dentist to extract the extra grand a 230 (tooth hurty) will cost you! And that's the tooth, whole tooth & nothing but the tooth.  :p

Personally I think the superb for spec it better priced.

But again it's massive!!

Dear Skoda please make a hybrid version that would give the C350e a run for its money

Think it's safe to say we can bury this thread as this car isn't going to land here in the UK by the looks of it. Skoda still saying they don't know when or even if it will, sounds like delaying tactics.

I'd be very surprised if you don't get it as Skoda Ireland have had a press release on their homepage for nearly 2 months now, I can't believe that the UK would not get it as well as Ireland is such a small right hand drive market in the grand scheme

There is New Zealand & Australia buying Skoda.

Plenty European Models from various manufacturers are available in Ireland with right hand drive where that same versions do not get sold

(imported into) in the UK.

We used to mainly get the cr@p before we moved to an emissions based system, but alas our vrt system also puts the mockers on items UK cars often get as standard as the price just keeps increasing

You used to get some nice European Commercial versions of passenger vehicles that never were imported to the UK. Has that stopped now?
