Its one of my favourite polish/Light sealant

Similar to AGSRP but less fillers

Is it worth having in the cupboard?...definately

easy to use, easy to buff unless you use it in the sun then it drys that quick you carnt take it off, to me its easier to use than auto glyms Super resin but the super resin is easier if you have to polish in sun light tho

Cleaned it today for the first time in over a month due to work, it was so dirty that I had to shovel the dirt off the drive that I power-washed off the wheel arches.

The opportunity came up to clean both cars today so to honour the occasion I took a few photos.  They've gone from grey to black again - no doubt they'll be grey by this time tomorrow but at least they shine right now. :D

Looking good, your Vectra seems to have grown a boot...

Looking good Andrew

Thanks Chris.

When did you get a vxr estate?

Looking good, your Vectra seems to have grown a boot...

Strangest thing really.  I came out to go to work one morning and it had grown overnight!

I'd like to say it's mine but I only have it on loan at the moment.  My car is in having a few bits of maintenance done and the chap who's doing the work has loaned me his Vectra.  It's a Stage 3 car with a list as long as your arm of what's been done in terms of mods.  It's currently running its winter map so is wound down from the normal 360bhp to a weedy 325bhp(ish).  With this sort of power it's hardly able to pull the skin off a rice pudding......

To be honest I'm loving the estate version and am seriously considering a change if the opportunity allows.  Maybe it's the thousands of pounds worth of mods that have turned my head but it's amazing to drive and the Quaife lsd really helps to put the power down.  Nice car.

Ah fair enough, it is a decent looking car, dare I say it better looking then the hatch. I like the Insignia VXR touring estate as well,

Back on topic, my dad borred Swmbos new car and parked it under a tree and thus birds left lots of gifts for me to clean so ended up cleaning it on Sunday,

IMG-20150426-WA0001.jpeg

A simple wash followed by using some T cut on where the bird leavings had been on the wax, then used Dodo Juice hard candy followed by some Meguirs auto detailing spray to finish up, didn't look too bad, certainly better then it did before I started.

Wife is away with work so thought I'd grab her Prius for its first detail

Wheels didnt look too bad

Polished with Gold Rush all in one (by hand this time)

Waxed with Fusso 99 (First time , I like this wax but its easy to put too much on )

Wheels polished and then coated with Rimwax , tyres dressed with Swizzvax Pneu

Should get me some brownie points , well needed as I'm spending over £1k on car parts this week

Nice work

What LSP did you apply?

Fusso 99 light , also have some Bouncers wax that works well on white but wanted to see what everyone was raving about

What are your thoughts about it?

For me its extremely over hyper and actually quite a poor performer. Much better waxes for the money IMO.

I'll have to see how it lasts , looks nice and easy to use although you need to be careful not to put too much on . I find a lot of the more usual waxes can look a bit flat on white

Dont forget that the car has clear coat laquer applied..so even waxes can look good on white

Having asid that...Sealants, aparantlly, compliment white better.....reflectivity..etc is supposed to be better

With having a white car..."School is out" whether there really is a difference that makes any difference if you get my jist!!

......IMO...No...None...Im now using a hybrid (Sealant/Wax) and QD on top..Looks amazing

The car is solid white so I'm not sure if it has a clear coat more likely a two pack .  I'll be putting BSD on top of this once its had a good time to cure

I heard the same so tried a few sealants when I bought my pearl white 370z, apparently Werkstatt was the daddy on white but i didnt rate it although Prime is a good AIO. I also used Supernatural hybrid which was fantastic on silver, not so on white, some waxes can give white a yellowish hue but I tried some ‘Eregansu'* which is one of Bouncers waxes and it really brings the pearl out and adds a nice gloss , lasts absolute ages as well its still beading well and was applied in August 2014. I may try some CQUARTZ on the 370 but im after finish rather than lasting protection on that.

With every colour its a case or working out what works best for you both in application and results

Rich, is that Metallic White or Solid White?

I'm considering buying a white car and cant decide whether or not to save £600 and go for the Solid.

Ah...you answered my question as I was writing it. Thanks.

What is a `two pack`?

Its a basically paint mixed with a hardener

Good read here , some manufactuers use the traditional method , ie paint then clear coat , others use two pack and essentially apply both at the same time

https://www.carwow.co.uk/blog/car-paint-types-guide

We opted for the solid white on the Prius as my wife liked white but is a clumsy parker and pearl white is a devil to match, you may think I am being harsh but no she really is bad,  the stories I could tell :)
