Fabia inspection warning, need some help/advice!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

So you know when you turn the ignition on and it states how many miles to go until your next service? (At least that's what I assumed it was), well mine had about 3500 miles until the next service is required, however I turned the car on today and it's flashing 'Insp' with the spanner next to it, I've had a search around to see what the cause of it could be but all I can find are guides on how to reset it/turn it off... any ideas?

Thanks in advance for replies.

Its just an inspection service note, like the "OIL" one.  It can be turned off with VCDS or the unknown to me combination of ignition cycling and odometer reset button pushing in and twisting

According to haynes.depending on diesel or petrol. Its the obvious checks

Oil and filter change

Drivebelt. Tensionor pulleys etc

Condition of exhaust.

Fuel fliter replacement.

OK, thanks chaps, to be fair since having the car it's the first time I've checked the oil before I set off earlier, which appeared to be fine, then literally 10 minutes later it's popped up saying Insp so perhaps the removal of the oil dipstick triggered it to show.

This? (Mine is an older car though, so may be different?) Might be worth a read of the manual HXLi :)

Interesting, is that really a time based notice? Seems like a stupid question, but how is the time kept?
