Happy for you bud but jealous as at the same time spoke to the dealer yesterday and he said my car is at stage 38 whatever that means. He reckons about 2-3 weeks. Still can't grumble though as it's 5-6 weeks earlier than expected

It is such an exciting time having the dealer show you round your car; then comes the first drive! Never had a new car before, and I'm still stupidly amazed at how clean the engine bay, even though it only had 7 miles on it when I picked it up. Driving to in-laws straight after work on Friday for a birthday, so not much chance of playing with it!!! 

 

I was meant to go straight back to work when I picked it up, and just popped to fill the tank right to the rim and test out smartlink...then ended up about 15 miles away down some fast A roads

I got a list today of what's available and it isn't exactly extensive, probably from a list of 10. Dealer said I can wait till the weekend and view an updated list, I'll hang fire and see if anything better comes up

Number plate picked yesterday, insurance sorted. Hurry up Tuesday......

Metal/Quartz grey vRS TSI ordered 7 August, just heard it is to be delivered to me on 30 October - exactly the 12 weeks estimated at the time of ordering.

 

I ordered through buyanewcaronline and they weren't able to give me a build date when I asked about it.  But I did save a bundle, so fair enough.

 

Can't wait! I've been whiling away the weeks reading absolutely everything in the forums here... Will report back after delivery.

Ordered a petrol VRS estate today! Got a provisional week 1 build date in 2016 so looking at mid Feb delivery. Really hope it gets brought forward as it seems ages away now!

It's funny that when your close to delivery the last few days seems as long as the time you have already waited.

My dealer reckoned that my vrs will be with him tomorrow. Now I'm tempted to run up to see if it has turned up !

The thing is I'm more excited then a kid at Christmas !

Haha, I felt the same Skodartford! The first 6 weeks goes by relatively quick, even if you don't think it will....then...patience disappears! 

Like a 17 year old dude at a school disco, I'm gagging for it !

Good things come to those who wait.... Well I know it's good, i know it's coming and I don't wanna wait no more!

Good afternoon Martin, I've just checked the status of your car and it's currently in UK Port, this usually means it is about 7-10 days away but in some cases can arrive earlier. I will check on this every couple of days and update you as soon as I have a date for the car arriving here.
