Picking mine up at 09:00 tomorrow

when did you order?

I ordered beginning of July mate

When I ordered mine mid August they tried to match me up with a car that the dealership had ordered. I had extras on that I didn't want to pay for.

The sales man tried just about everything for me to hand over the extra cash for the model they ordered. When I said I will wait for the spec I ordered he seemed to loose interest in my sale. It went through ok and build week is week 41. I kind of hope that mine turns up and they still don't try to flog me the one they specd.

Car sales me I put in the same pigeon hole as estate agents !

Enjoy :) picking mine up Monday, ordered mid July

Missing acc and park assist, it was on the signed order form. I even recorded the call woth skoda uk to confirm it was included. I have asked the dealer to re order for the same cost but its not looking likey as they are no longer a free option approx (£1100 extra). I am stumped, im considering the new superb. I'll give the dealer chance to make up for the error or it will be a very strong letter to skoda uk. My current pcp runs untill January end of. Any deals people are aware pf from specific dealers? The spec should have been 2.0Se L acc park assist, silver rails, tinted windows, tow bar, heated seats and window and smart link. I am so disappointed.

Who was this ordered through?

DM Keith, although it seems it is a glitch in the ordering system that wasn't picked up. I added led lights after the original order. Rather than just adding to the existing order it created a new one. This removed the se l plus package. Why would I choose to lose £1100 worth of options to gain £150 of led lights!?

From factory to Emden takes about 10 days then its usually 2 Days to come over on the boat, then maybe a week to get to the dealer. So 3 weeks not 5 or 6

Just a quickie, what's rough estimate from order at the dealer to be given a build week?

I was never given s build week. Skoda UK gave me mine.

So how long after you ordered it Did SUK give you a build week?

I rang them up about 6 weeks after which is a story in itself.

Orderer a VRS 220 on 4th August, Original delivery date was 14th October.

Couple of weeks later Dealer rang to say car was delayed but no info by how much. Left it another 2 weeks then decided to ring Skoda UK after comments on here being the best idea, so called SUK on 11th September, they promised to get back to me in the following Monday 14th.

My dealer (who to be fair have been very helpful) happen to ring on the 14th. I assumed (wrongly) this was off the back of my call to SUK on the 11th. They told me car was looking at being built in first 2 weeks of October so would likely be mate October, but they hoped it would be earlier.

However Skoda UK on the 16th emailed me this:

"I have received confirmation that your approximate build week will be week 45 (26 October 2015). Your vehicle should then be with the retailer approximately 5-6 weeks later"

Queue mass panic as needed car end of October (new baby and a holiday away, current 'family car' isn't big enough). So asked my dealer what was going on and did they have anything coming in eg VRS 230 I'd seen on auto trader.

Dealer said they'd look at it for me. Chased on Saturday 19th to be told hey were awaiting info and would get back to be Monday.

So Sunday I rang a number of dealers and happened to find one with a VRS230. Was given finance on 0%, went through all the preliminary sand was confirmed finance agreed (passed credit check and all that) so said I'd have car.

Rang my dealer to give them bad news thy I would be cancelling order. They told me I couldn't possibly get 0% on the 230 and to double check.

Was reassured 0% was possible, but then got a call on Tueaday just gone to say despite 2 days of arguing (not the only customer given 0% on a 230) VW Finance would not budge.

Thankfully my current dealer have offered me a loan car if it's not here by the time we need it for our holiday.

However kind of gutted that it's not the 230 now after all the excitement :(

Hmm maybe I need to speak to SUK then as I placed my order on the 4th Sept so over three weeks ago, and haven't heard a thing.

I got the SLI number off the dealer and just kept checking with Skoda.

Finally got some paperwork through fromt he deleaer today showing that it will be registered on Friday and gave me the registration number. collection date is finally nearing! :)

Ordered 26th June, Built 14th Sept.

Guess it's a way to make up for my delivery time - ordered May 29. - left the factory Aug 25 ..... and nothing heard since :-/

Picked up my new toy today - after 4months and 1 day - but so far worth the wait :-)

Dropped into the dealer last night and it's now on board a ship so will be another two weeks apparently.

Picked my vRS tdi up this morning. 14 weeks wait - worth it! Nice little surprise getting the Sat nav added for free too! :-)

How did that happen then? Did you know you were going to get free satnav?

No I didn't know, dealer never mentioned it until pickup when he handed me the case for the Sat nav sd card. He didn't explain why either. Maybe someone else will know for definite but I think skoda ran an offer of free Sat nav earlier in the year to get rid of stock MIB1 units before the introduction of the MY16 car with MIB2 but there seems to have been an overlap period were they were applying the upgrade to the MY16 cars also. What did make me chuckle was when being shown the features of the car before taking it home the 'very informed' salesman said "if you want to play a CD just put it in there" and pointed at the blank plate in the glove box! Think they would have caught on by now??

Pick my Car up Saturday. Excited much. Only 3 salesmen and 14 weeks later

Hi, new to the forum. Been given a build date of 26th October build week 44 for my VRS 220 TSI Manual Estate in Metal Grey Metallic. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get it before Christmas....

In the October 2015 brochure the Amundsen is now standard equipment.

My VRS Tdi is being built week 41, what's the chances that I'll get the Amundsen on mine instead of the 6.5 bolero?

That would be a nice wee free upgrade if I did!

Edited by Gr4fiksm4n

Woo if we do get Amundsen! Dealer emailed to say my VRS is to be built this week, likely delivery end of October
