Really hope mine is waiting for a boat now...or even on one!

Ordered a Quartz Grey VRs Tdi Combi, xtreme alloys, sunset glass, panoramic roof, chrome pack, leather seats, kessy. I got a bit carried away with the extras....turns out I actually have to pay for them :-)

I ordered my vRS hatch on the 30th December and was told 13-16 weeks until delivered. 6 weeks gone still at least 6 weeks left. I have been told it may arrive earlier... Nerve wracking  

Update: Dealer called this week saying the car has arrived to them and i can pick her up some time next week.  :clap:

Spoke to my dealer yesterday who informed me that the car was made on the 1st of March and was put on a lorry yesterday. Should be here by Monday/Tuesday

Went in yesterday to sign finance paperwork for my Octavia. It's still on a truck on its way to dealers...can't be long now.

Ordered 29/12 quartz grey, kessy, heated front and rears, reverse cam, power boot. 220 estate DSG.

Ordered a rapid spaceback same day but still waiting on a reg to sort finance, was told its at the docks waiting for a boat.

Had a call from dealer, car arriving today with them but can't get it till next Saturday as I'm in work :( gonna be a long week

Delivery of my Rallye Green vRS estate now arranged for Friday - I can't wait!

It arrived this morning - I'm over the moon with the colour! It's a TDI manual, with options of sunset glass, heated front seats and SmartLink.

 

I ordered my VRS Estate TDI VSG in Candy Red with Black pack early January for a March 01 Delivery, Skoda and the dealer have been great at emailing me updates on the build and the process untill the car arrived at Docks in Emden, It has sat there now for over Two weeks waiting for a boat so they say! My wifes new car also arrived at Emden 2 days before mine and hers made the Boat with a wait of 2 days. There seems no order how these new cars get onto the boat! Very annoyed I was looking forward to it, Now I cant be arsed with it!!!

Spoke to the Dealer today My car arrived at Emden on the 8th of February and guess what its still there!!!!!!

Time to de lurk. Ordered my VRS Tdi on the 21st January. Delivery expected mid March. Quartz grey and added winter pack, sunshine roof, smartlink.

It will replace my Yeti L&K. Basically the garage has done a deal that means I get a new car, and it costs less per month than the old one! If anyone ask me how I feel about VW emission problems....my answer was they looked after me.

Updates and pictures as soon as possible, followed by a trip to a VCDS magician.

Doesn't sound too good for the rest of us - I was told my car was at Emden on 24th February - could be in a long queue behind yours !!

Don't know if it's going to be at the same port but the wife's Rapid is waiting to be shipped to the UK, ordered same day as my VrS but that arrived at dealers yesterday. Hope it's not going to be a long wait.

Strange thing is the VRS was quoted longer lead time than the rapid yet arrived first.

Once it leaves the production line in the Czech Republic it probably goes into a compound to await a transporter to take it to Emden in Germany which is the port used (the Czech Republic being landlocked). By car this journey would take I guess 8 hours or so. Not sure how long a transporter would take. This by the way is all supposition and I stand to be corrected. I don't think anyone knows how long it can wait at the port I've seen reports of 2 days or even 2 weeks! before it gets on a ship. Mine was at the port last week but I have yet to receive an update as to whether it's on a ship or whether it's landed in the UK or whether it's on it's way to my dealer. So close but oh so far!

Gran Canaria is currently en-route from Emden to Grimsby. I guess there is more than one going back and forth.

Usually ships like Weser highway, African highway etc, ro-ro cargo ships.

Lets hope some of the cars we are waiting for are on the Weser Highway which is crossing now!

There is a vehicle transporter on the way from Emden to Dublin, due in tomorrow morning, also actually called the "Emden". Do any of you know if VAG group use this ship??

You are not the only one who can't wait ! One of the problems with being retired is you do have a bit more time to think about it ! (the car that is!)

I may have been a little premature saying it was ready today, the dealer rang the Mrs and left a msg, she then called me saying that the car was ready. So I get all excited and call the dealer to find out that the car arrived at the dealership today and will be ready to collect on Friday.

But it's still a lot sooner than I thought.

I wasn't given a build date by the dealer, I just had the email from skoda saying it was going into the factory, that was on the 9th of February so that would be week 7.

The car is sat at the dealers waiting for me but as I'm out in the middle east with the RAF until the 23rd I can't collect until after then.
