Only extras were Black Pack and Spare wheel

The free £500 fuel card will keep me going for a while

God Damn it.......so annoying!

Ordered my VRS on 6 Jan, bw 9 and it is still not here. The waiting is unbelievable!

Seems a bit hit and miss with delivery times

Mine is due to arrive today finally pick it up on Saturday. I've been so impressed wigh the Fabia they've loaned me in the interim I may well be placing an order for one of those while I'm there for my girlfriend.

I'm from Norway and ordered my new Octavia Hatch 1,8 TSI DSG 4x4 L&K, in Moon White, with ALL factory options exept sunroof and kessy jan 26th.

It was built feb 24th, and came to my dealer yesterday (march 22th.)

Now I have to wait another week because of the easter holidays :no:

But only 8 weeks from order to delivery is pretty quick!

I was expecting 12 - 14 weeks

Ordered a Rs230 2 weeks Ago. Delivery in 8-10 weeks.

Update: Had the email from Skoda UK, and the call from the dealer today to confirm my car has arrived in the UK. They are estimating delivery to the dealer in about a week. Only hope that the bank holidays don't delay it further.

Had a call from the dealer - they have the car and have arranged to collect on bank holiday Monday. :clap:

Mine was at the port in Germany waiting for a ship when I called dealer on 16th.

Hopefully that means mine has also arrived in UK.

Surely doesn't have far to go, when it's going to Southampton.

UPDATE: Spoke to dealer again. Car is arriving at dealer tomorrow. :-)

Easter bank holiday weekend has thrown a spanner in the works and I won't be able to pick car up until Friday 1st April. :-(

Did you specify the black pack and sunroof on the yacht? 

 

Ironic isn't it - cars get delayed coming by sea whilst yachts get delayed coming by land/air!  :p

Ironic yes - whilst I was out collecting my new vRS today TNT tried to deliver my boat to my home - got to go to their depot to collect now!

I should add the boat is 1m long and rigs about 1.8m high in case anyone thought TNT were trying to deliver a full size yacht to my house.

I was quoted 12 to 16 weeks but that actually became 8 weeks 4 days - it could have been a lot quicker if it had not sat at the UK port for 13 days !

Mine is confirmed for saturday collection now. 8 weeks 2 days from order to collection but 3 of those was sat at the uk port waiting for transport.

Quick update on my VRS order

 

Ordered 27th Feb

Confirmed build week 14 (Stage 20)

Will be on the train to Germany at the end of BW14 and go through another 8 stages to 38?

Should be with me mid to end April

Ordered vRS 2.0 TSI Corrida Red, with Black Pack +

Order date 22nd March

Only been given a very rough estimate of 12 weeks.

No idea if this is realistic?

I was quoted about 12 weeks too however it looks like many are getting built and delivered within about 8. It all depends on options and availability of components though

Update:

My VRS, ordered 6 Jan 16 BW1, went into production BW9, arrived at dealers BW12 and I will be picking it up next Friday BW13.

I'll be adding the black grille surround myself.

Some have got their new car much quicker than 12 weeks, mine has taking 13 but was possibly looking at 14 previously.

Ultimately, I guess, it depends on your spec and what the current run is at the factory. If your lucky, ull get urs slotted straight into an early run.

vRS TSI ordered 23 Jan. I had a call from the dealer yesterday to tell me my car is arriving on Monday and could get it at the end of the week. So pretty much 10 weeks. Original estimate was 18-20 weeks!

I'm delaying collection by 2 weeks til I get back from holiday though, which the dealer was quite laid back about. Normally they're desperate to get hold of your trade-in...

Just had an email from the dealer.  Build has come forward by 7 weeks!  So looking at another 3 weeks until its built.  Ordered the 9th March, build week now the 11th April.

 

Might get the Ohlins ordered next week then!

Finally picking mine up in the morning. Ordered on the 19 Jan so not too bad a wait
