Spoke to the Dealer today My car arrived at Emden on the 8th of February and guess what its still there!!!!!!

Update from the Dealer today still at Emden!!! as of tomorrow it will have sat there for 1 Month!!!!!

Just told the dealer I purchased a new car and thats want I want!!!

It also appears that the VW Logistics have pulled a Sheerness boat and placed it on the Grimsby run!!!

It also appears the last ship on the Sheerness run hasnt moved in the last 36 hours!!!

So my guess broken down.

Also tryed contacted Skoda Customer services there phone number on the website doesnt work!!!

so emailed them no reply

Not very happy

I'd say a month of being sat at the port is beyond reasonable!

Ordered 23rd of January and my vRS TSI is being built this week. Dealer reckons it should be delivered in the 1st or 2nd week of April.

If that works out it will have taken 11 or 12 weeks from order to delivery. Much better than the original 20 week estimate.

I'd be interested to know how the estimate could be so wrong. Maybe Skoda anticipated a backlog of orders for March delivery but the actual number of orders was poorer than expected...

There is no logic here. I was told my build week 7 was at Emden on 24th Feb. I have been told today that it arrived in the UK last Saturday the 5th (not sure which port though). Incidentally ordered 23rd January.

Why is yours still a Emden !!! I can understand you would be very upset at that.

I hope I am being told the correct information/location by my dealer.  My dealer also said of 6 cars they are waiting for mine is the only one to make it across - so I should be somewhat relieved I suppose.

Mine landed at Grimsby this morning (or might have been yesterday - think it was on Gran Canaria).  I've just sold my outgoing car and my dealer is very kindly lending me a car until mine is transported to them and prepared, so should be fairly soon now.

It looks like I've done pretty well with my Octavia, 8 weeks and was quoted 12. Went and signed all the paperwork today and got to see the car, picking it up on Thursday.

Are the dealers telling you all this information or is there some kind of tracking system I don't know about??!?

Then just track the ships, Most have Highway in there name and also the Gran Canaria

there are 3x ships on the Grimsby to Emden run.

I saw that earlier, there's a guy above who's car has been at Emden for a month. How do people know that bit? Can't just guess the boat! :)

Sorry My dealer can look into the system and tell where the car is.

Yeah you have to bother your dealer for details

Mine must be a lazy little sod, he's holding out on me. Will be giving him a bell tomorrow! It's strange, I'm not a huge car fan, I changed to the VRS as a decision to save my mental health from the Leon and at the time I had no problem waiting. It seems as times gone on I've went all 'kid at christmas' and I'm getting impatient!!

My dealer is giving me all the information and they must have access to a tracking system - not sure we can get access to that system though.

Sorry this has been answered above (started typing and got distracted for a few minutes before I could finish and post)

Skoda customer services will give you the info as well, helps if you have the internal order number.  Dealers must get fed up with car nerds getting on the phone every other day wanting a lat/long of the car they've not paid for yet lol.

Mine has been good and sent emails every week, normally on a tuesday, telling me where it's at, over and above the emails I've been getting from Skoda themselves.

As an update to my previous post I was told that my car was made on the 1st and was put on the lorry on Thursday, however, the dealer did not have a record of my car being loaded on Thursday and now has no idea where it is. He is assuming it may have been put on one today but he won't know until tomorrow when they send the list of cars coming. Seems Skoda are unable to keep up with the amount of orders and appear to be randomly losing cars as mine was built before the ones that already left last Thursday.

Also on a curious side what is all the "paperwork" everyone is posting on here? All I do is go to the dealer who has a copy of my ID card and then pay him the money then leave. I understand UK isn't exactly tech heaven but surely it's similar?

Yeah Skoda was great at updating me when my car was moving, But now it has stopped and sat on the Docks now for 1 month they have stopped emailing me no surprise there!

I have emailed customer service but also no surprise they havent contacted me!

The dealer has asked Skoda for Priority boarding as there customer is getting fed up with the weekly updated of your car hasnt moved and it is still at the docks.

However due to the massive back log of cars nobody will have priority boarding unless its a Porshe, Audi, VW, Seat then Skoda! from the horses mouth!

Phone them up rather than email. I found them to be very helpful.

She is on the move today loaded onto a boat

The Octavia I bought was a stock car transferred from another dealer, so I have no idea what build week it is. Is there any way to find out?

If it was a stock car it'll be built and at the dealer who has it in stock surely.

Ordered mine on the 15th Feb and was given build week 13, asked today and its now been pushed back to week 14, so we should hopefully get out cars around the same date.

Anyone who wants to know their build date ask your dealer as they can long into their sales account and see your dates, I watch mine do it today and it took 2 mins.
