Dealer told me today that car is at final exit port. Am I right in assuming that this is Emden?

 

Build week 18 so my baby is around a week old now.

 

Not long to wait I hope.

 

As I ordered from Meaden's in Sway, Hampshire is it likely to arrive at Sheerness?

 

Any one know the ship and when it leaves Emden if all my above presumptions are correct?

 

Does it show that I am beside myself with excitement here?

I'm waiting for an update for my BW18 car but I think i'll be in the same boat (so to speak). from what i can work out the Sheerness <---> Emden route is served by Gran Canaria Car which left Sheerness headed back to Germany earlier today which means it'll be heading back full and landing in Sheerness on Friday or Saturday. i hope.....

On Friday my dealer told me mine (BW 18) was built and in transit to Emden. Hopefully it will be on the boat to Sheerness later this week also......Happy days

My car was build week 16 and speaking to the dealer last week they were expecting it to arrive with them today but I ain't heard anything yet .... I could be sitting in it by the weekend.

I have been like a kid in a toy shop wanting to get my hands on it.

from marine traffic.com it left Sheerness at 11:33 and is due into Emden at 09:00 tomorrow.  I would imagine it will leave Emden tomorrow night and be back in Sheerness Wednesday evening!

If the ship is there now when is it likely to leave with its next cargo and bring our Skodas to the UK?

Google Earth shows a couple of what may be racing blue cars - I wonder if they're ours.

It seems to turn around in about 10-11hrs, probably on the tide. I'd imagine it'd be back in Sheerness tomorrow evening

Hey Jonesy220 you must have nabbed the last slot on Friday as I was told it was full. Lol. I can barely contain myself now, but it could have been a lot longer.

yMe, it looks like no sooner are they at the dock then they are loaded on the ship. Here's hoping that yours wings it's way here as quick as mine. I think there's a bit of luck involved for sure.

Anyone know the ship name from Emden to Grimsby? Is it Global Highway by any chance?

When I was checking last night one of the Highways was in Emden due to leave for Immingham. Not sure which one though. I was only interested in the ship headed to sheerness

So i ordered a car on 23rd of April. I still havent gotten any build dates etc. Is this normal ? 

I got my build date as soon as the dealer put the order in whilst I was sat in his office

You need to ask for a build date... In my experience they won't offer it but are happy to find out if you ask
