Thats what puts me off the big muscle bikes mate. I like corners.

The vfr is sort of big enough, but not too big at the same time. Throw another 50bhp at it n i dont think id ever have anything else lol.

180mph is a fair pace haha. Never done that on a bike. Been passenger of a car n thst was enough haha.

Wonder what fubs took his up to...

I agree. I used to love corners. Unfortunately I live in pot hole city. Way too dangerous getting the leg down. Also the wife likes to come along. If it wasn't for her, I would have something else...don't know what though. Love a smooth powerful ride. Power is a life saver on a bike...and killer :rain:

  • this is my first 'big' bike and I'm loving it!! Passed my test about 4 weeks ago but only picked this up a week or so ago   It's a 99' SRAD so it's pretty old but in fairly good condition for its ag

  • Mine - made a few changes since this picture it's now got short Asv levers and mirror blanking plates. Did around 100 miles last year :/

  • Just finished and ready for a proper shake down run today I hope.   Black not common on Ariels but it is easy to paint each bit with what you have and have it match.

Found a few scanned pictures. No Mobiles or digital anything in those days. Not in order and loads lost forever

New bike

Well impressed. Very light. Lighter than the 800 Tiger with nicer gearing too. Always thought the Tiger could've done with another gear. Goes like stink

First and last time I have/will buy a brand new bike lol

To be fair, she had a fairly tough old running in period......  :sun: That was 6th gear ffs.... not that much left to go at that :( The old ZZR I traded in would still have been in 4th.....

It's just 239kph, did go higher, but when I was trying to get a still from the footage this was the clearest one. Bike has done near 800 miles at this point though and had it's first service at the incredibly expensive main dealers I used to use in Holland.

Ahh okay. Still about 150mph though? Aha. Not exactly pootling ;).

Bikes and Skoda's - smashing!

Been riding since 1978 (aged 14!), tried to give em up, but just cant do it!

Three of my current bikes:

Bought last week.

Always quite liked those (and the unfaired FZ1) , but never tried one.

Only ever had 3 bikes but here we go..

First bike was a 2004 Honda CBR600RR

Then a 2012 Triumph Street Triple R which i loved but got written off.

And got myself a new 2015 Triumph Speed Triple R this year :)

Oooh nice nice and even nicer.

Still got a thing for the speed triples. They are beautiful bikes.

Yop can only agree with that. I loved mine but wanted to get touring over big distances again.

Sold my gixer 1000 k6 to buy the triumph and didn't miss the gixer one bit. The trumpf was a riot.

I went to look at a Speed Triple when I got my CB, I was just a bit taken by the Honda when I arrived at the dealer, I often see a tidy Triumph and think 'what if' though lol

Theres still time...

Buy mine, lol ;)

I was actually tempted to sell mine even after 2 months.

As much as i love it, the upright position isn't suiting my back injury. But i've been offered peanuts for it as a trade in etc.

It's a total riot though!!

Previous BM, lovely but cost a fortune to run.

Tiger017.jpg

Possibly the best all round bike Ive owned, loved it.

HannoverTrip041.jpg

Very underrated BM, did 700 miles in 10 hours to Northern Germany one year

Old Skool, kin rapid though, 134BHP at the wheel, which wasnt to be sniffed at in 2003

Thats about the earliest ive got on photobucket when I first joined, and between them getting on for 250,000 miles

Unfortunately I had to sell the Benelli to get it. I'm starting to miss not having a road bike.
