Show Us Your Ride - Past & Present Bike Pics

Featured Replies

That's why at 60 years of age, and still alive (but scarred) after a lifetime of biking, I finally decided to hang up my helmet.

Problem is, biking is in my blood. Now 63, I feel the urge to ride again. Damn you, Brisky Bikers!

It's like herpes. ....no known cure and something that comes back when your resistance is low!

  • this is my first 'big' bike and I'm loving it!! Passed my test about 4 weeks ago but only picked this up a week or so ago   It's a 99' SRAD so it's pretty old but in fairly good condition for its ag

  • Mine - made a few changes since this picture it's now got short Asv levers and mirror blanking plates. Did around 100 miles last year :/

  • Just finished and ready for a proper shake down run today I hope.   Black not common on Ariels but it is easy to paint each bit with what you have and have it match.

Very nice!

Partial to a strada myself. Seems a good, fast, comfy, do it all bike.

At 16 (in 2006) I got my hands on a 1989 Simson S50.

Swapped that when I was 17 for an MZ TS125

Killed that, and having passed my test, moved on to an MZ TS250

That broke. Started playing with cars. Fast forward to 2012 and I bought a YBR125 for my wife to ride

We both rode that. I crashed it. And just recently, I've got myself another MZ - this beast.

I do like the retros. It is great to be riding again and thus far I've really enjoyed it. Keep getting an inclination to try something a bit more modern and with more pace. Kawasaki ER5s seem cheap - any thoughts?

Looks good. Maybe try not to crash this one? ;)

Er5's are alright. Nothing fancy though and parralel twin, so nothing exciting tbf.

Sv's are cheap, quirky vtwin and 70bhp. So not gonna set the world on fire, but they are fast enough. Never seemed short of power on the road. Nice midrange power.

Hope these photos come out OK for you all my babies lol

As I have mentioned in other threads we often ride with other Triumph owners (RATS) and many of us own Tigers.  This is ours parked at RAF Conningsby whilst we were watching the Typhoon display pilot strut his stuff.  Mine is the one nearest the bins.

BM fabulous.

I'm still waiting for the new GSX-S1000F to arrive as my dealer has me No1 for a test ride.

From the pictures just love it..

Edited by Carlo diesel

Carlo, seen the GSX-S1000F at the bike show last year and again at the TT this year on the Suzuki stand in the Bushy's tent - it is a tasty looking machine!!

I noticed :) a Kawasaki fan like me. I would list all my bikes, but I cant remember them all. Used to be a mechanic for Kawasaki in the 80's so love em. Fell in love with ZZR's from day 1

They are nice bikes. My best mates dream bike, he'd have one by now if he pulled his finger out of his backside and saved up haha

Fubs had a zzr1400 too when he lived in NL. A few choice tuning mods too iirc.

The 636 is a moped compared i bet haha.

its good you were a mech and you still ride their stuff. Says alot doesnt it (:

All cars and bikes break down or have faults, but the ZZR is solid. Only down side. Too heavy. Still 180mph + isn't bad. Never done it though :x  :D

Thats what puts me off the big muscle bikes mate. I like corners.

The vfr is sort of big enough, but not too big at the same time. Throw another 50bhp at it n i dont think id ever have anything else lol.

180mph is a fair pace haha. Never done that on a bike. Been passenger of a car n thst was enough haha.

Wonder what fubs took his up to...
