I'm only adding a Led to it, I like it being green :)

How does it go regarding insurance then?

Since it's a unique car now, does it still get insured as a 1.4 and then modified with an engine change?

Or if you do a HPI check does it come back as a 1.8?

Stays in original tax bracket too which I wasn't sure about :)

One of the reasons why I wanted something newer than 2001. As the tax is done on grams of planet death per mile or some such the engine swap doesn't change the bracket as they never reassess the GoPD/mile :)

Cba doing mile after the DVLA told me to naff off last time :)

I assume hpi will come up as 1.8 now, insurance before was a 1.4 with engine conversion and mods etc, I still don't think a mainstream insurer would touch it lol

Just tried dvla site status check and it comes up as 1781cc so I assume hpi will be same as

Nice work, like that. Amusing that the 'model' stays with 16V in the title :D

Just done a HPI (my car check) and it's still 1.4. Not sure how often then update the system or if they ever actually change them for things like this.

Good work anyway, nice to see it being done properly :)

I would think it would take a month or so to update there system, it should show the engine number change too on hpi eventually

Got a couple of early bday pressies, seat sport front upper strut brace and a white line rarb, the rarb needs abit of tlc before fitting but nothing major, got the strut brace on in minutes :)

The manifold almost looks out of place now!

Needs to be red or black :)

Pm me if you need new brackets/clamps for the whiteline.

+1 with the colouring idea, don't know if red would be a little overkill, personally the strut should be fantasy green :notme:
