Not really worth the expense I can make something fairly light out of thin plastic or fibreglass cheers though

Simplified the bootlid loom today this little lot of wiring was redundant :)

Now I just have wires for number plate lights and high level brake light :)

I did the same. Except i kept electric boot release haha.

I replaced the struts on my boot lid the other day. Christ it was heavy!!

But...isn't the Fabia front heavy as it is? Maybe combine it with a battery in the boot lol

The 1.8t's arnt that bad about 200kg lighter then the vrs diesel to start with :)

Going to get some more done tommorrow, loom down and over each arch to rear lights

Whats that, about 20g per hour saved? If it were crack you be'd on a winner :P

Haha it's quite thereputic, did the loom over n/s arch to back light and up into boot loom tonight, managed to get rid of two out of the three block connectors :)

Finished the o/s rear this morning keeping the wire going into roof as it's the aerial and I need some entertainment still lol

I try :) just fitted a new battery and fuel pump too tonight, old battery had died one too many times from sitting over winter it wasn't a sealed one either and eurocarparts were still doing there xmas offers so had a good bargain

Got one of my mates at work to make me some Aliminium door covers out of some old cuttings to fill in the gaping holes in the now empty back doors :) in 1.7mm thickness so really light should look good too, I think I'm going to wrap them in 3m Carbon for effect lol

Got annoyed with removing the old sealant off doors, so out came the wire brush on a drill, I had a pot of fantasy green paint so just went over where I've gone through to metal and gave it a couple of coats, don't look too bad :)

Should get a good lot done on Saturday as there's still a few bits and pieces to do, then I can get it mot'd
