Had a good day yesterday drag racing,

Set a new pb of 14.24secs and I know there's still more to come which is good,

Next jobs are tidying up the inside after some bracket removals, spray the interior back half, dash out and remove some more weight,

I reckon it's capable of going to 14 in its current spec :)

Need to do this. After Bedford i will.

You meen you had all the interior out but still had air going to the rear footwell? :D

Yep lol

Looks like it was a less the subtle removal of the heaterbox lol

You expected subtle from Trev?

Yep lol

And Ii don't see your center console in that pile of junk.

What is your target? About the weight loss I mean, do you have a bhp/kg ratio you want to achieve?

Abit of light technical adjustment :), obviously I was careful around the blower motor as I was keeping that

I'll keep centre console as I have literally no storage, it hardly weights anything, plus I don't like the look of the gearstick with no surround etc

Want to get it near 1000kg, I should get close if I fit one bucket seat and fiberglass bonnet and bootlid, I reckon it's around 1050kg ish now

Nice work as usual Trevor be good to see this in the flesh and out on the track soon!

I mounted mine on the inside for racecar look. Plus more room underneath for straighter exhaust etc.

To be honest I think that is going to be less than 1000 kg with all that staff out. How much bhp are you aiming for?

Maybe with no fuel but with 1/4 tank it was 1080 and I've only took around 30kg out since, should get on weightbridge once it's back together again in next couple of weeks, it's about 200ish at the min just stage 1 map, so 200bhp tonne would be good, got the option of another 20bhp with front mount and stage 2 map, should easily break into 13 second quarter miles then

I do like that but really don't want to drop exhaust lol

I see... Are u running K03s?? What injectors and what maf sensor r u using?? I believe that probably with a couple of good tyres and a good driving you will reach your goals! Nice work indeed!

He's already running track day tyres I believe?

Standard everything engine wise inc ko3s, I can get stickier tyres and prob will, but the yoko parada spec2's I run are a bargain, I don't really have straight line traction issues but I'm on the limit. I'm pretty sure I can run even lower 14's even as she is, my pb 14.24 run I backed off before the line so terminal speed was 7/8mph down from normal

Problem is with sticky tyres is the problems then move on. Driveshafts and diff then take a pounding.

I can understand your thinking absolutely. The Parada's are trackday tyres so their sidewalls are reinforced to tolerate with turns but for drag use u will probably need tyres with taller sidewall (195/65/15 for example) with lower pressure in order to absorb the hard tyre movement while acceleration during drag.

Couldn't agree more with you, but as long as the weight is staying low, the power is at these levels there are less chances to be any damage done...
