Featured Replies

Thinking of getting a set on the driver and passenger windows of the vRS, anyone else got them?

Yeah got the Heko ones on my Elegance, look good...

Where are people buying these from? Ebay?

Thinking about getting just the front pair.

Just put a full set Heko on my Elegance - dark smokey grey colour look really good on  light blue car. don't do much in the way of wind deflection or wind noise. Got mine off Ebay easy to fit with full instructions.

Same as rlp, full set of Team Heko's, literaly just back in from puting them on, only to 5-10 minutes to fit. Was worried as I had read that people have had issues with getting the secruing clips seated properly. Can't comment if they make any difference will post again after a drive.

Got mine from here.

Ordered a set of the Heko deflectors :D

Just a word of caution with the Heko wind deflectors. Had these on my previous car, new owner didn't want them on so went about removing them to find they all had gone brittle after three years of fitting. Some had split mainly at the flat section that goes in the window channel whilst others shattered when removing them.

Any suggestions for someone who wants wind deflectors in order to deflect wind, and not as a styling mod?

Not a style thing here, they deflect wind but I also found with a previous car that they also stop water coming in from the roof if you stop at a ticket machine.  You can also crack the window open in very hot weather without worrying about security so much.  They can keep the glare of a low sun out of your eyes sometimes too.  I like wind deflectors not just for their wind deflecting properties. :nerd:  The fact they look good is an added bonus. :p

Only had a brief drive in the car since fitting them, in probably the best kind of weather to test them, it was windy and raining on the way out and dry on the way back. In terms of stoping water / windscreen washer fluid coming in they are brilliant. Wind noise is hard to tell, I would say that the noise of the wind coming into the car is less but noise of the wind outside the car is greater but quieter over all as the sound is further away from your ears, if that makes sense.  :D  (I Haven't played about with the rear ones yet.) In my opinion they aren't too bad to look at either. Think I would definitely recommend. :)

I bought them as Air Con dries my eyes out and when travelling down to Spain needed something cooling. With the windows open you got the buffeting that gave me ear ache so I got the wind deflectors. Up to around 40mph they deflect enough wind to avoid the buffeting effect whilst allowing air to circulate freely. Above that speed I found it too noisy so would have to resort to using the air con again.

They are great for leaving the window open slightly whilst parked up without advertising to the scrotes that you've allowed an opening.
