Dangerous and unsafe Yeti after 9000 miles

I imagine the original poster is long gone by now.

Ultimately, I think his expectations are unreasonable. Discs (I refuse to call them rotors - I'm no American) are a compromise. The qualities of stainless steel are inferior to other materials. It's softer and more prone to over heating. Other materials like carbon are far more expensive. Likewise the pads are a compromise. So a metal that does rust a bit if left is the compromise on a road car.

Add in the solvents some use to clean their wheels and discs rust even more. Get over it! Give the car a quick run to clean them up if it concerns you. As for a warranty claim - get real!

My wife's automatic Yaris has just had it's 1st set of discs after 115,000 miles. It's also only had a few sets of pads in its 16 year life.
