After a long time of searching i finally found a mint looking, used 2017 Skoda Superb 162TSI Wagon.

Picked it up last weekend and loving it so far.

Only down side is it doesnt have Canton speakers, but i can live with that.

Welcome to the site mate. Nice looking Wagon in Lava Blue there!!!

Your car has the Image and Comfort Packs.

You mentioned that the downside is that you do not have Canton Speakers.

What that actually means is you do not have the Tech Pack, so you actually miss out on quite a lot;

Adaptive Chassis Control with Driving Mode Selection
Lane Assist*
Side Assist - Blind Spot Detection*
Virtual pedal - hands-free electric tailgate opening
Premium German Canton sound system (12 loudspeakers, central speaker, subwoofer and digital equaliser)
Traffic Jam Assist*
Emergency Assist*
Rear Traffic Alert*
Automatic Parking Assist*

Yeah, i knew that when i bought it.

For that model year, it was a $5400 option, and apparently not a lot of people took it (on a ~$40,000 car it was a bit of an ask).

So finding a second hand one with all of that was almost impossible, at least for a decent price.

I got this one for $22,000 which was around $10k cheaper than any other car i had seen.

So i jumped on it.

Im coming from a 2001 Honda Prelude with no tech what-so-ever so i dont feel like im missing anything.

Except my Prelude had a custom sound system, so thats the only downgrade.

congrats on the purchase :)

i too have a 2017 162TSi Superb, purchased brand new.  Built March 2017.
i got the tech + comfort packs though.
i gotta say, the Canton sound system in the Superb is well, Superb!!  its definately worth it.

i like Lava Blue color.  Sadly mine is a "mainstream" colour, but i call it Business Grey....

I do tend to hypermile cars when not pushed for time and have had 750 but not 800 yet! Well done.

sadly the consumptions not anywhere near as good as my superb Mk2 cr170 (TDI 2.0 litre 170 horse)

My Dad has the 170PS Superb diesel estate Elegance 2012 DSG nice car still to drive even though it's nearly 8 years old.

Just sold it was a 2009 Elegance DSG

great car still despite 188000 miles.

i did 7 year and 100,000 miles.

Excellent reliable car hence the purchase of a much newer one.

Old MK II and New (to me) MK III in the background.

It's even got the latest black/chrome Skoda badge on the front grill.

Thanks,

it was freshly washed ready for collection. It showed its age a little and its first 88,000 miles before I got it were clearly hard, think it was a minicab!

I liked the look of them and thought they looked better on a black car!

Back one fitted ok by front one required some engineering.

took the chrome logo and ring of the new one and fitted them to the rear black original back so would fit properly.

Now that Is strange.

I looked in on this thread expecting to see a car here on a rolling road, being tuned, and there's nothing here :wondering:

I was too busy boring a chap about how much his 17 plate Golf R was going to make at stage 1 and talking him from wasting a couple of grand going stage 2. It's called CARE IN THE COMMUNITY for VAG owners. Free of charge of course.

You can achieve longer range with the same engine. ;)

Seen on a french forum with (top banner says "since refueling"):

Theoretically ~1000 miles with eco drive skillness... ;)  / 4.8l/100km is approximately 58 mpg.

Someone drove at about 45 for a long way on a deserted french payage I feel.

possible but not realistic on British roads

i think I could probably get 800+ on a long run sitting with the lorries doing 56 lol

Our last run had a good result.
