Yeah i do haha. Should be alright to run it in and make sure everything is ok.

Not sure why your fuel gauge goes wrong way?

Cause I'm using Ibiza fuel pump lol, wish I'd known standard would work before I swapped it

Im using ibiza fuel pump..

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well now I'm well confused, so your using Fabia dash with Ibiza pump and yours reads fine, I'm using Fabia dash and Ibiza pump and mine reads the opposite lol

  • Author

Well my fuel gauge was reading exactly half. I put 3L in and it went up.. So im happy mine is working [emoji23]

Unless i put standard pump back in by accident. But im pretty sure i didnt [emoji16]

It read ok with Ibiza dash and had 5 miles left, put the Fabia dash in and it went to 215 miles left, had it running for ten minutes and it went up to 220 lol, have a look at your pump and read the part number off it please lol this is annoying me,

You keeping the drum brakes on the rear or putting the ibiza axel in it?

  • Author

Ive got the rear axel to go on. 256mm brakes etc. Just no rush to do that, leaving it till its proper winter.

Need to find out if i need different handbrake cables before i start.

Cost was under £2

Managed 48 miles last night. I would say they were trouble free, but they wasnt...

Had a fuel leak, the pipe from the return line to the tank had split.

Lost about half a tank of fuel in about half a mile. All over the seats and tank.

Luckily a mate had some pipe to bodge it back together to get me home.

Had to first drill out the rivets all around the panel. Then swap over the speakers as the manual one had been eaten by something [emoji23]

Used a riv nut to put panel back on. This just inserts a thread so i could screw into. Handy bit of kit. Mines not broke though, so will order a new one before starting the other side.

  • Author

Nope. After 5 mins the windows stop working, couldnt be bothered messing about. Remote central locking has gone [emoji16] all manual. Less to go wrong (and sort out)
