I'm keeping the Fabia ones.. don't like the FR badge

Also my clocks only go to 120.. the Ibiza ones to 160.. so they will be out on speed.

Just swapped needles and removed some LEDs.

Not if you swap the whole unit. Just put a sticker over the FR badge.

I like the idea i'm going faster than the clocks can go anyway. I've still got them if i do get bored.

 

Passed MOT today and took it for a drive. Forgot how brutal it is, had a play with a Corsa vxr. Well i say play.. i intimidated him into it then just blew him away 

Another trackday done at Blyton Park. 107 laps on a boiling day and no issues. My mate managed to smash his gearbox on his MK Indy R.

 

Decided it was about time i started to sort out the engine. Started to order bits n bobs i need for the rebuild.

king Racing bearings and piston rings.

forged rods (20mm versions)

headgasket set and all other gaskets/seals.

head bolts.

expansion bottle

 

just need thrust bearings to complete i think. Going to order FMIC tomorrow and some generic pipework to try and make it fit. Also need a few bits turbo related. Need to make a list really.

Its growing, just need to decide on a FMIC size and order that too.

 

Not alot of you will know as your all 1.9 TDi bit a peice of rocking horse doo dah turned ip today. It may look like every other 1.8t inlet manifold but this one has the throttle body on the passenger side and is straight. The straight bit is the most important, theres plenty of passenger facing ones with a slight angle (like an octy vrs but opposite side).

These only came on Seat Alhambra and VW Sharan 150bhp 1.8t, which in a market where 95% of them were 1.9tdi you can imagine how rare they are. Bargain price too which is good.

Will get is cleaned up tommorrow and see what pipework i need to alter for vacuum hoses etc. 

Some more goodies turned up today, some at post office too

Good effort, but not quite. 

 

I wnted to mke sure the 4th leg sits flush when bolted up tight as its wrped slightly.  Beets working..

 

Another trackday completed. I did 56 laps and my dad probably did about the same (didnt use lap timer on his).

Ferodo DS2500 were vibrating really bad and were very low, so decided to swap them for Brembo ones. They stopped the car but didn't give much confidence, no real feel and really long brake pedal. Will add pics tomorrow of the state of the pads.

Also my Federal RSRs are litrally falling apart, maybe i got them too hot last track day? Pics tomorrow.

 

Few pics, one with a seriously quick Ferrari which i just about held off for half a lap then let it past and struggled to keep with it.

 

You should give the NS2R's ago.

Yeah probably will, or the Yokohama ones. We will see which are cheapest when i buy them
