Valeo or Sachs Clutch Kit?

Featured Replies

Hello Mates,

The clutch of my Fabia TDI  2008, is quite hard now and my mechanic said, the clutch is soon going to die.. and I would need a clutch kit replacement..

I just searched around and found a source where two different clutch kits are available, one is Valeo and other is Sachs..

I have read good things about both online, so I am a bit confused..

I know there are lot of experts here, so please help me out

Which one is better Valeo or Sachs?

I am getting Valeo kit for approx 100 GBP

and Sachs kit for approx 150GBP

also, my mechanic said, its okay to run the car even if the clutch is hard..  so how to know when is the proper time to change the clutch kit?

thanks in advance..

Just run it until it slips

...Or fails! They can just fail to operate.

This may mean slotting the car into second gear, starting on the key to "Bump start" The car, driving along at moderate speed and on coming to a halt, breaking until you stall.  Get you home or to the garage but not super great idea for any distance or rush hour traffic.
