MY16 MIB2 coding

Featured Replies

No was after coding trafic sign in the MIB2  but with worng software from ross-tech.

VCP it the way to do it

Ross-Tech have fixed it now :)

It was only a problem if you had a HEX+CAN lead, the Micro-CAN and HEX-NET were unaffected.

  • I've given a prod on the VCP forum   Ross-Tech seem to think they might be able to replicate this using Audi MIB2 units which they can get access to

  • Hi guys, been a while, but there has been progress... I did a teamviewer session with Mati tonight, seems like the VCDS adaptations I've made before were triggering different bits from the code... M

  • Now that is what you call support! And VCP gets a rough ride for its support, but you can't get better than the top man fixing your car for you! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Might have asked this before, but here we go again :) Have a Superb on order, which has the front camera, front assist and adaptive cruise. Has anyone tried to activate Lane Assist on such a configuration? As I see it, the hardware is there, the rest is coding. On stemei.de a guide for Passat B8 is mentioned, but read elsewhere that it was not working on the Superb 3V.

Which camera is it? If it is the lane assist camera why do you not have lane assist? The only other thing that camera is used for is TSR as far as I know.

If it is a camera just for HBA then it is a different camera.

On the Superb it's the same camera for all systems - unlike the Octavia.

OK, not sure what datasets will need loading to which modules, but I doubt coding and adaptation alone will be enough.

That sounds great. You are welcome to try it on my car :) Just two problems... I have not received the car yet, and there is a "slight" distance to NL from DK ;)

Yes the distance is a problem. I'm trying to get to connect with my dealer here and ask iff i can try dis option on one of the demo cars

This should solve your problem:

(181)-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_BCmE, activated
(183)-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_BCmE_over_threshold_high, activated
(67)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-BCmE_0x23), activated
(68)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-BCmE_0x23_msg_bus), Databus Infotainment

My coding is like you say.
But no consumers on the list.

are there anyone who have gotten MITSUMI connector to work on mib II with VCDs?
I can not find the code for it, and can not get ADVANCED sub menu to work either

I have a octavia III from 2014 where I have had an MIBII in my car

Hi,

I have the same situation, columbus mib2, but no consumers in the list and coding like Mtl wrote

Thanks

Yes.

Do you mean Driver Alert System? If yes, this is what you need to code.

(176)-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_weariness_recognition,activated

(178)-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_weariness_recognition_over_threshold_ high,activated

(65)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-weariness_rcognition_0x22,activated

(66)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-weariness_rcognition_0x22_msg_bus,Databus Infotainment

My Superb III has the above options deactivated in stock form. Will activating the above options work for Driver Fatigue detection, or some HW module is necessary ?

Thanks.

No.

Hello, I'm opening this almost 10 year old topic. Through my ignorance, I caused problems in the Columbus infotainment in the Skoda Superb 3 model 2018.

I have a problem with displaying assistants, Line, Front and Side assist. The assistants are functional. They are displayed correctly on the virtualcockpit, but not on Columbus. After clicking on the assistant in Columbus, the voice Function not available. Can you help me how to fix it?

I probably caused it with an older version of VCDS with a HEX-CAN cable.IMG_20250507_062831.jpgIMG_20250507_062814.jpgIMG_20250507_062846.jpg

If you done a back-up then would you not be best to use that.

Otherwise have a look in 'Audio, Electronics and Security' forum and if required put a shout out to pab5677 (put the @ symbol just before typing name) but you won't be able to PM him as you don't have enough posts yet.

VCDS keeps a copy of all changes in two files in C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Debug called CodingLog.csv and AdpLog.csv which you can open with Notepad.

I know what change I made, I can also revert it back but it doesn't help. The error is caused by an older version of VCDS SW in combination with the HEX+CAN cable, when some adaptation channels were overwritten unintentionally. This thread was dealing with it, so I wrote here asking for help.

Has this been reported to Ross-Tech, and if so has it been confirmed that this is a VCDS HEX-CAN problem?

If it is indeed caused by this method then surely Ross-Tech are the people to ask for help as their support is excellent?

As appropriate, low power on car and/or tool, drops in wi-fi, internet, bluetooth, non-up-to-date, programs, are potentials for non-success (and off-course with someone like me fat-finger(s), numberer and letters mix-ups).
