But those bulbs are like this:

Pretty sure that lens+led in front of the bulbs will dazzle incoming traffic and not get light on the road. I'm curious if @Andysuew agrees :)

Not sure I fitted a set like them and TBH they were pants, IIRC they were far too blue for my liking so they came out straight away:

These don’t dazzle oncoming cars, they tend to throw light out to the side. I’ve been running these now for 12 months and can’t fault them. They also match the same colour as the HID’s.

Obviously different to the ones I tried (6,000K IIRC)

Surely dazzling incoming cars will be less of an issue if they are only on for sharp cornering and times it is very foggy.

@Gizmo or anyone, does installing leds require adaptation like this:

?

Depending on the LEDs.

The ones i have fitted are plug and play ... no coding required, others may need coding.

Could you confirm which ones you have please? I find the lighting thread incredibly difficult to decipher now it's grown, aged, and diversified.... Thanks.

These are what I have, but I cannot find anyone stocking them any more, which is a pity as they are VERY GOOD!

i have had these in mine for a year now. Work very well and match the HID headlights and DRL’s for colour. No coding required. I went for the 80w units. Go big or go home!!!!

Hey. I am a newbie here, i just got my Superb 3 last week.

I was thinking to buy these ones ( your recommendation) but i am not sure about the 80w, are those the 3600lm ones?

There are so many options on AliExpress, i would like to avoid the testing/ buying process and choose the right one from start...

You mentioned that it matches the DRL and the front light in general... No error codes or programming right?

LEDs must be as small as possible

thank you for the answer, i will take a look at them.

Do you know if the cornering light dimming problem is the same with the Philips? I read that some of them whom tried the led fog light bulbs, lost the dimming function.

i guessing dimming will not work also with expensive Philips bulbs,

usually, when LED Bulb supports dimming, it's noted directly in the title of product

i(friend with VagCanPro) have added Front Fogs to Daylight Running Lights,

Fogs always on when Xenons are off, for my taste that is better than Corner's one side on/off

No they are a warm (yellow) white and only 20W / 2,400 Lumens (mine are 30W / 3,600 Lumens)

Look for something around 4,300K - 5,000K as this should be pure white (if you go as high as 6,000K it will have a slight blue tint)

Pull the plastic grill off next to the foglight (the handbook describes how to do this also):

Then unscrew the foglight (with the torx screwdriver in the boot if you do not have any in your toolkit)

On the drivers side (on a LHD car like you have in RO) the washer bottle is located behind the foglight... so it’s a tight fit but it will fit.

On the 280 there is also an intercooler (I assume it’s behind the other side foglight?) meaning those bulbs will not fit as they are quite long.

Hi mate.
how do you get to the bulbs to change them. Have tried pulling the honeycomb section but seems very tight

ta

They are pretty tight, try to push the grill towards the fog light as much as you can and then pull the side next to the centre grill.

Don't you have a 280?  If so, the RH side (looking at the car from the front) is very tight as the aperture for access panel is also an intake/duct for the intercooler, on the 280.  I had a right pig of a time removing the panel, it DOES NOT come out like the opposite side; there's 9 or so lugs around the edges of the panel and they aren't easy to pry away, even with a trim removal tool.  I snapped two of these retaining lugs so the panel never went back in flush. I ordered a replacement from SuperSkoda for around £16.  Might be worth buying one in advance as I know at least two other 280 owners had similar problems

...oh and make sure you don't damage the gloss black trim piece across the front of the panel! That's a separate item to the panel itself and can be removed via two lugs on the rear.  That small and seemingly insignificant piece of plastic costs £45-50.  So make sure you keep that bit if you do end up buying another panel.

HTH.

EDIT:

This is what I bought:

Here's the back of the panel to give you an idea of the lug positions.
