Does anyone know of a manufacturer of a full size load liner? One which fits all the space in the rear when the seats are lifted up.

I did a search for;  full load area liner, and came up with some good kit including a rubber version.

You don't have a link, do you? Only I've searched loads of places and there's nothing full size comes up.

I want the hard plastic tray type though. I'd already seen those and while they're very good for muddy boots and dogs perhaps, I'll be throwing all sorts of gear in the back.

That would be ideal, however I'm sure it's just for the boot, not the whole rear load area.

I've had Hatchbags in three previous estate cars and found them to be incredibly hard-wearing and waterproof - the only one that showed any sign of damage was the one that apparently p****d off the terrier I then owned who managed to chew a small piece out of it but it must have taken her a lot of effort. They will send you a sample if asked and you can then test it for yourself.how tough it is They can make a liner for whatever configuration you need.

 

For the Yeti I thought I'd try the Over-The-Top equivalent. for a change. Looks much better (and so it should - it was much more expensive) but having now had it for three years the next time round I'll almost certainly go back to a Hatchbag.

I concur with Paul's post. I used to have a Hatchbag and found it exceptionally hard wearing.... I used to put outboard motors and other marine equipment in and found it survived very well. Also items didn't slide around as they would in a hard plastic area.

What I need is just a hard plastic full length load liner. Something which can be put in as required, drop the rear seats forward, slide the tray in, and load my gear, then  when finished take it out and revert the car to standard. While the hatchbag system looks like it's ideal for keeping the boot clean in normal use it's going to be far too complicated to fit and remove with all the velcro etc.  I'm not doubting the build and quality, just that it's not what I want. If there isn't anything suitable off the shelf then I'll make a hard floor out of plywood. but iy'd be much easier to buy one.

I used to have one of these for my Renault Espace IV, If I remember properly The Roofbox company were the UK distributors ... or they were 10 years ago.

    Nothing in there which covers the full load area, with the exception of a custom made boot buddy which to be honest is overly complicated.

    You can buy flooring rubber and cut it to the size you need.

    Bummer, CarBox are a German company and they do have an on-line shop (www.carbox.de/en/) but not sure if they will deliver to the UK, worth checking.

    These people in Germany apparently sell it for 277Euros (inc VAT) and may ship to uk?

    It's a lot cheaper than driving there to pick it up! ;)

    I recently sent two letter's of complaint (Santander PPI and Virgin Media) to London addresses by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and was charged just over £16.

    So to get a 9kg package sent from Germany for £10.22 is pretty good going.

    Indeed, I recently ordered some kitchen trim from Germany and it arrived within 5 days in a box about 5ft ft long by 6" square. Total cost including shipping ? - £21.00. Amazing

    The Touran and Galaxy have the only full load platform rubber liner that I can find
