since the majority of the bars go to China, India and Switzerland (where they are mostly melted down from heavy London good delivery bars into the smaller kilo bars Asian investors prefer), this all shows up as non-EU exports. The upshot is that Britain’s exports outside the EU look far bigger than they really are.

This raises doubts about one of the few Brexit claims which has yet to be challenged. The official trade figures produced by HM Revenue & Customs show that over the past five years the share of UK exports going to the EU has dropped to 46 per cent. This fact — that Britain now exports far more outside the EU than inside — was repeatedly referenced by the Leave camp as evidence that Britain could safely leave the trade bloc

take the 9% gold exports out the equation and the fact that a jump in gold exports is actually a sign of market jitters and our non-EU exports start to look very different!

Anyone got a link to the story where 'storing Gold Bullion costs so much'  that investing Millions in Property in the UK and paying just Council Tax is 'as safe as houses'.

A bit like investing in UK Businesses in the UK as Qatar does, and now we hear how good 'Milk Exports' (liquid mik) from the UK can be for a premium product,

Qatar has an Issue with the UK / British Royal Families favourite Arab Royal Families and needs not just wants UK exports.

Everyone likes UK Defence Products, House of Saud & others wanting to murder & torture & commit war crimes,

even though the Companies are owned by USA companies they are counted as British Exports,

death and destruction.

How are the UK Mercenaries / Defence Contractors / Advisers / Trainers Services counted as 'Exports',

that is a lucrative business, with lots of Directors and the likes that are Ex Politicians / Defence Ministers or Under Ministers and Peers of the Realm.

Here we go - another Kipper leader - wonder how long this one will last

Again - another one with a foreign wife - what is it with them?

Part Time Soldier, Soldier, Policeman, Politician then looking for a new career sometime soon.

I remembered his wife's name from her giving birth on a train, so maybe they will have empathy with the millions of migrants on the move and babies being born in unsanitary conditions.

I wonder if he last longer than the new logo.

Just searched for the premier league lion image in google - 3rd image was UKIPS - I really don't think the premier league lawyers will take that laying down.

This morning Paul Oakden UKIP's Chairman was asked about the similarity to the other political parties' Lion logo and he said it was completely different

it was 'looking forward', and i thought no it is looking right and their's is looking left.

The US has never resorted to such heavy-handed tactics with Airbus and the EU as it now has with Canada’s Bombardier, placing thousands of jobs at the firm’s Northern Ireland factory in doubt. And for good reason: the US would have too much to lose from such action. The EU is a big market with a powerful trade authority, and US producers are too dependent on the EU market for the US to risk retaliation. This case gives us a real taste of how the UK will be treated in negotiations over a US-UK trade deal post-Brexit, and how vulnerable the country will be.

Also it is in the area of the Petersfield/Peterloo, which the anniversary is coming up in a couple of years of the massacre of people who were not being represented, area rich with history........https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/aug/20/peterloo-massacre-hundreds-attend-anniversary-memorial-in-manchester.

Like Bloody Sunday (the second one in the seventies rather than the one earlier in the 1900s)  justice for the people has been slow or non-existent.

Hopefully the end of the most inept Con leader since WW2 but the chasing pack is such poor quality who is best to lead the rabble before the next election whenever that comes?

Maybe the Cons should have had their conference in Bournemouth or Harrogate which is more their territory rather than a Labour controlled city which has been let down so badly since 2010.

Having been the fastest-growing economy in the G7 on the eve of the EU referendum, new figures from the Office for National Statistics showed UK growth below the US, Japan, Germany, France, Italy and Canada.

Goodbye Monarch - 2,100 people loose their jobs in one day due to weak pound:

Quote

Blair Nimmo, from administrator KPMG, said its collapse was a result of "depressed prices" in the short haul travel market, alongside increased fuel costs and handling charges as a result of a weak pound
