Superb L&K combi screen washer-which fuse?

Featured Replies

My screen washers failed the other day, fortunately near home on a filthy salted motorway journey. Plenty of the correct fluid in the tank, and temp above freezing. I hear no motor or pump type noises, so if it is not a fuse, then maybe the pump has failed or the operating stalk.

My question is... Is the screen washer system fused separately from the headlamp washer system? And if so, where is its fuse. I have visually checked the 20A fuses inside the cabin, all looking good. ( I believe fuse 36 protects the headlamp pop out washers) is there another fuse for the screen washers?

Any help or advice gratefully received, thanks

Geoff

I think the lack of response may indicate that you could easily look in your manual for this?

However, I cant find windscreen washers in mine. only headlamp washers. the wipers are not in the cabin fuse box but in the engine compartment one, of which there are two designs and you need to identify which one that you have.

Thanks, Superbdreams. The manual is no help at all. There are no blown fuses, and the pump is ok, all checked by my local non-Skoda garage. Their opinion is it may be a fault in the controller (canbus?), which can only be replaced and programmed by an authorised Skoda dealer. Gonna be pricey, I guess...

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

regards

Geoff

Do you know anyone nearby that has VCDS? If a fault is logged then it will show up.

I haven't had a problem with mine as yet but I know on my mondeo the  tank and motor are  tucked away behind the bumper under the headlight and a right faff to get to , check the fuse with a meter /swap fuse , then check the motor for power ,rusty connection?

+1 and you can also use the output tests to command the pump(s) on.
