Does any one know what size spare wheel they supply if you order one with the car? Is it a 19 or 18 inch space saver wheel?

Is it a standard T125 / 70 R 18 space saver or does it have to be a special wheel to miss the bigger discs?

Got a puncture today after only 4 weeks but luckily I spotted it and was only around the corner to my preferred tyre garage. Now I’m thinking I want a spare wheel.

£90 is ridiculous. They could afford to charge £50 and still make a decent profit plus get a few more sales

Take a look at SuperSkoda, they have a range of options with the official rubber mats starting at £38 or you could get a second textile one for £30. They have some non-OEM ones also.

Anyone with 245 spare wheel know the size please and is it just a standard looking space saver wheel or if it’s different because of the bigger discs?

ok My car has been at the dealer since Friday but still haven't been sent the paper work and still not given a collection date. so Skoda live chat this morning to get it sorted and ask for compensation (I'm now on week 20 since order.)  Skoda live chat tell me that any good will is to be arrange through the dealer and they can't help.  that sounds like BS to me? I have raised a case with their complaints team (but 24-48 hrs for contact.) I'm only going to ask that they transport the car to me does that sound reasonable? It will save me the trip up to collect which i think is reasonable due to the delay?

Mine is still waiting to be loaded on the boat, come on Skoda push it on the next boat. My Mk1 Fabia VRS is going before the end of March and I don;t fancy being a bus w$%ker

Mine is also "awaiting ship" according to my lease agent. Should get delivery first week of April from what I've been told.

Been having a bit of fun in VRS302 NEW NAME FOR DARTH VADER this week, had a newish Porsche 911 alongside me at some traffic lights. Let him get a head start on me then floored it in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear. I guess he was a bit surprised when I overtook him at 119mph .

You must be one of those people on the motorway that overtake me everyday and say they always stick to the speed limit. What mpg do you average in your VRS220. My last 100 hours driving saw 38.6mpg.

Actually trying to help you out.

If I were doing 100mph plus, I wouldn’t share it with the world on here...

Been driven by Rickard Rydell in Volvo touring car round Brands Hatch, Justin Bell (Derek's son) in a Dodge Viper round Oulton Park and Michael Schumacher in Turbo Technics Escort RS Cosworth round Silverstone so don't really need any advice on my driving and have had zero points over the last 35 years of driving.

What has that got to do with how you drive?

Sounds like you’ve been getting away with it for years.

Driving like you do (if it’s true) I sincerely hope you get caught and punished.

Zero respect...

Wasn't even worth the effort when u know u can hit 189 (which i did in germany) and sub 4 secs to 60 :)

Unless someone is behind you in a rental car.

Nothing goes faster than that...

I really like my 245. Nippy and practical but even with remap I would not think it would hold a light to even a base new 911. I'm sure the Porsche driver couldn't be bothered racing such a fast passenger driver

You should check out Misha in his 115bhp VW Up overtaking a Ferrari on a hot lap of the Nurburgring. It is a classic case of it doesn't matter what power you have under your right foot but how to get the maximum out of what you have. Must be embarrassing for the poor driver of that Ferrari having so many people what that video when they had almost 400bhp more than a VW Up but couldn't KEEP UP! Clearly power isn't everything. This video can be found on Shmee150, it's very entertaining unless you drive a Ferrari!

Sounds like you over took a Porsche going slower then you

Porsche Cayman S 350bhp 310lb/ft torque weight 1430kg. My VRS245 now has 302bhp 345lb/ft torque and weighs 1370kg. Anyone who knows about mid-range acceleration knows that torque determines how quick your car accelerates and power or bhp determines your top speed!

Well, i've just joined the club.

Feel like a bit of a cheat considering how long some of you have been waiting, but just put down a deposit on this and having it delivered next week.

Can't wait.
