Hello guys, I've just bought a Fabia VRS 05 with 92k miles and FSH but have noticed a turbo noise, I don't know much about these cars so any help and advise would be appreciated! I've attached a file of the noise. Thanks IMG_1001.MOV

If it sounds like a police siren then that's bad, it will get louder before going pop.

 

If it's just a slight whistle or hiss then you may have a leaky boost pipe joint, this is quite common as the pipe couplers are poor quality and they wear and loosen.

 

Edit: Just listened to your daft video revving it while stationary, pointless, can you hear it when driving the car under hard load?

Not noticable under hard acceration but can hear it when letting off or when holding revs stationary

What you can hear is your VNT system doing its job feathering the vanes, nothing to worry about. Go drive.
