Help with throttle body adaptation

Hi there. I'm at a loss, could someone please help. My throttle body won't reset, or adapt with my VAG-401 controller. It runs a cycle and says error. Basic conditions not met. I have a fully charged battery, throttle is in idle, key to on (but engine not running) coolant temp in range. It will just say error. Causing rough idling and even stalling. I'm sure it's not a faulty body. I tried a second hand one and same result. Sometimes it says power intermittent. Here is my fault

Do I have a faulty plug connector to the throttle body?

I have a faulty abs brakes light switch also, would that cause problems.

I've cleared all DTCs.

17962 throttle actuator j338
conditions for basic settings not met
p1554-35-10 intermittent

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Screenshot_20171001-143956.thumb.png.dd80c7c10dce9933cb7d63163dbac6a0.png

Your problem is your brake light switch, it has two poles, one for the ECU and one for the brake lights. Replace the switch, then try re-adapting only if necessary.

Thank you so much. I will try this. I appreciate the help. All the best.
