skoda felicia engine won't star

Featured Replies

My old felicia car sparks but as soon as I off the engine and want to start again,  it won't start. I have to leave it for hours before it starts again

How about telling us first what type of Felicia you have?

History of the car. History of recent repairs.

Thanks.

The car is Skoda Felicia 1.3MPI 1999 year model.

1. The problem started after the engine caught fire. Almost all wires and cables had to be changed.

2. The temperature sensor is slightly burnt but haven't changed that yet.

3. I have also realised there are three wires in a coat from the control board to the right bottom side of the engine. After the burn, the electrician connected only two to the 2-pin connector, leaving the third, which is black. Please,  where must that go or connected to?

4. Just this evening,  I have also realised my battery light on the dashboard didn't go off when I sparked and moved the car. What is happening?

:o so... you didn't find that "small" event worth mentioning in the OP...

You should.

Take a photo for us for better understanding.

It depends on what do you mean by "I sparked and moved the car".

@arcake - (4) is usually indicative of an alternator problem.
