H11. They are easy but I’ve not put the clips that hold them from rotating back on as they are impossible. When the bumper comes off for paint I’ll put them back :)

Car went in for the cambelt and water pump today and I was given a Citigo as a courtesy car today as it was only for a day and not overnight like last time so I didn’t need a big car (was only me travelling around in it today) and it reminded me of just how much fun these little pocket rockets are to drive, I’ll miss ours when it has to go, but we are rapidly outgrowing it and need something bigger so it’ll be going soon. Nice to use the new radio and phone holder combo, much better than the PID but I did sink back into my leather vRS seat and fired up the CarPlay, set the climate control and heated seat just so, put the gearbox in drive and enjoyed Octy life pretty quickly when I got back in it. It’s fair to say I miss the toys when they aren’t there :)

If you ever get bored with your Extremes found the ideal 19" alternative. Called Autec Wizards check out the Reiger wheel configuration on page 2 thanks to JohnnyType2.

nice look too! how heavy are the original 19" extremes anyway? waiting for my ride now, but looking at swapping in a lighter set.

Weighed one of mine with the original P Zero 225/35R19 tyre and it was a total of 22.5KG. Not very lightweight.

Swear they are lighter than Gemini’s though!! Those are really heavy.

indeed, can only imagine the difference in steering with aftermarket rims. guessing the P zero should weigh around 10kg at R19.

the geminis are 18" right? still think the extremes look better - form over function heh.

Own 3 sets of alloys for my car.The aftermarket 7.5J 18"rims with P Zero 225/40R18 weigh 21.9KG so not much of a weight saving. This must make me sound really anal/sad, choose your own option.

Yep Gemini’s are 18 and they are damn heavy so the Xtreme’s look better and are lighter :)

Do you know what the difference is between the two? Maybe this is the justification I need to swap :tongueout:

Not a clue and I don’t have an Gemini’s left to weigh sadly as they were sold a while back. They felt a whole lot heavier though, I could feel the Xtreme’s were lighter the moment I picked them up from the seller.

Weird isnt it? Smaller, less sexy, yet heavier.

Tyres are much cheaper though so it's not all glitter and gold ;)

Yep still ended up sticking with the 19's as the 18's felt vague & not an improvement either

In a way, but I’m mm’s away from pulling the trigger on a brand new set of 235/35/19 winter tyres 4* rated for £210 delivered so there are deals to be had :)

As Nike would say... Just do it! That seems like a great price!

My Gemini's and original Potenza 225/40R18 weigh 22kg so almost as heavy as 19" Extremes.

Rotalla S210’s they are through a place on Top Cashback. They seem decent so I’m tempted but it’s not really cold enough yet. Pirelli’s are slippy though and the deal is getting less good by the week so better hurry. It’s only 6% cashback though so they are a bargain anyway :)

I live "down south" so have little need of winter tyres however, R19/235/35 ain't cheap in PS4S but, Fn hell they are soooooo good

I really wanna try them.  Granted I'm happy with my all-season tyre choice and 235/40 R19 PS4S ain't cheap but I'd like to at least see what all the fuss is about.

Errr. I'm sure you don't mean 40 profile do you?

That'll kill acceleration

That's what's on the car as standard...

What affect would going to 35's have on speedo and ABS sensors (if any?)

Oh on a Superb they are are a standard size, thought you had a O3 as we are in the O3 section.

Wheel overall size won't affect the ABS Sensors though

They let me out every so often

Bloody hell there's a significant price saving 40mm vs 35mm and the Superb has comfort to spare.  I wonder what Skoda and my insurance company would say about switching to a non-standard size...

Every insurance company takes every opportunity to increase premiums
