yet spec sates Electrically operated front seats with memory function on Edition

Although it mentions "seats" in the spec, it does say Electrically operated Drivers Seat with Memory Function in the price list. Standard on the Edition £950 extra on the SE L. If you think about it, the seat is programmed to whichever key is used to unlock the car and you wouldn't really want the passenger seat to move as well. That said they could have added buttons so that you could move it manually and just left out the memory function.

They've annoyed me as well. We ordered the virtual pedal which is £650 on boith the SE L and the Edition despite the fact that the Edition already has the electric boot and the SE L doesn't. With the electric seats, our car was ordered from the October price and spec list and delivered to the dealer in December, but I guess ours won't have 2 electric seats either.

Yes, that's the way they did it on my Superb 2 (and on my previous cars that had front electric seats on both sides).

i did look at that option but couldn't justify paying that much for probably what is no than a sensor with wiring loom back to the boot's electronics and i agree the costs should be adjusted accordingly to the trim/features, an example in separate post i did for 'Assistance Package 1' that was sold as £1,200 option across all trims even the fact that Edition had many of these features, it now been revised to be proportionate to the trim level, correct.

this is where i now notice difference between dealing with BMW and Skoda, the quality of the content + pricing strategy - this sort of thing just won't happen, there will be clear information and day 1 agreed pricing strategy until model refresh

i would be happy with that too, at least its electric, seems incomplete and cost cutting to have one manual seat with super full featured driver seat, especially on top trim

As a consumer you are rightly entitled to rely upon statements made in advertising literature, etc, especially that published by the manufacturer/their appointed importer.  Of course that literature, etc, must be that which is relevant to your country of residence.

If there is a mistake in that literature then it must be brought to customers' attention and if this is not done the consumer is entitled to rely upon the statements made in the uncorrected literature, etc.  If the mistake is relatively minor (eg no umbrella when they said there would be one) the consumer is unlikley to be able to reject the car, but could probably be entitled to some compensation.

The situation will be more complicated if the car is to be leased or bought on finance and advice should be (could be) obtained in the UK from the Consumer Advice consumer service.  The situation will also be more complicated if the vehicle is being obtained by a business rather than a private individual.

i think i will kick up about the passenger seat

timing wise, is it better to do now (1 week away from production) or wait once car is received?

ps: seems the manual only talks about driver's seat so i doubt passenger one even exists, no idea why not

I think it would be better to raise this now that you have discovered what the situation is likley to be, but I suggest best to check with Consumer Advice.  You may well have to compromise, especially if there is no such thing as an electric passenger seat for the Karoq.

They must have electric seats for the left hand side of the car for the rest of Europe. It doesn't sound too complicated to remove the memory function.

i need to find video/spec of passenger seat been electric then i have even more ground to stand on

I wont kick up now as dealer can just refund my £500 deposit and give build slot to someone else, think i will wait till full sum in paid and its in transit to UK
