Average age of a Karoq driver

Featured Replies

Husband traded in his Lexus IS300H, prior to that Lexus GS300 and prior to that Lexus IS200, plus other Japanese cars although he used to love being sat very low down, you know the lowest seat level possible he was finding it harder and harder to get out of it, he is 53 I am 45.  So he decided to look at the SUV market, I have joint problems so have always struggled to get out of the last car as I'm not particularly bendy.  Having said that some of the SUVs are too high for me to step into, ie Volvo XC60 and 90.  Now our son only 16 is over 6ft and sits in the rear that restricted lots of SUVs too ie Q2, Q3, NX, CX.  I think car manufacturers need to wake up to the fact that kids are getting taller and the cars with chopped off roofs at the back mean anyone over 5'10 gets a crooked neck.

Do we bring down the average slightly??

37 here. Hopefully won't have turned 38 by the time my karoq turns up!

  • I'm 53 and proud of it.   Kitten and I LOVE our Yeti, the only reason why we're getting rid of it is because it has a diesel engine, and we feel that we will be targeted in the near future

  • I'm 64 and wife is 62.   Bought Yeti for it's practicality, good value and VW underpinnings. Neighbour who has an Evoque said my Yeti was ugly!    My wife has a Mini Cooper S and m

45 :)

Im 25, probably the youngest one :D

36 but with a history of back issues so the body of a 63 year old.

Last 2 cars have been an Octavia vRS which I have loved. Never thought I would own an SUV but I hired a VW Tiguan on holiday shortly after a back operation and it caused me no discomfort at all. To be fair, the Octavia hasnt been too bad for my back (certainly compared to other sporty models, my friends Jag or my Wife's Vauxhall Adam) but just taking the opportunity to get something a bit more sensible now it's time to trade in again. Disappointed theres not a sportier model on the market yet and couldnt justify the 7 seater Sportline Kodiaq. Hopefully a vRS Karoq will be available at next trade in!

I'm 27 and am trading my 2016 Yeti for a Karoq. Always preferred economy and practicality over looks but, having said that, I love my Yeti and the Karoq isn't bad either, although it doesn't exactly stand out like Skodas have in the past.

Same age as you. Surprised to see people my age and younger buying yetis and Karoqs.

34. We have our first baby due towards the end of the year so were looking for a larger vehicle as ours are both smaller 3 door ones. Though my clio has been so reliable (which doesn't seem to fit the online comments regarding French cars) but it's never gone wrong in 12 years.

Must've seen a thousand YouTube videos on suvs and the Karoq stood out as being the best all rounder. Also the varioflex seats are a huge plus point, we have an older dog so she'll be able to get into the boot through the side door meaning the jumps won't be so high.

I'm 71 with back problems that are making getting in and out of my Ocatvia increasingly difficult. A year ago I was thinking of buying a Kodiaq but it's just too big for my needs. I was very impressed with the Karoq and have gone for an automatic for the first time. My car arrived in the UK on Tuesday, so I'm hoping to take delivery in the next week or 2. Sorry to push up the average owner's age!

I'm 35 years old and I'm driving a 2.0 TDI 4x4 DSG Karoq. The car is brilliant and I think that it is suitable for all the ages.

38. First car Opel (Vauxhal) corsa. Then VW Scirocco 1.4 Tsi 160 Hp, then Nissan QQ J11 (Family) and now Karoq 1.5 Tsi. SUVs are a great deal of comfort and practicality (especially when it comes to families) when you are over 6 feet tall.

Very true :D

How are you finding yours so far? Just over 2 months in and I am still yet to find something I don't like about the car!

I'm 30! Got a kid and the Golf wasn't good enough on the longer journeys with more people / luggage so went for a bigger car.

Nothing came close price wise so settled on the Karoq and glad I did!

I'm 47 - seems about ther average age...

Yeah I love it tbh, different machine compared to the Poli gti but it does go well when needed tbh.

Surprisingly I find parking quite easy even compared to a smaller car.

I love the LED lights/ambient lights , think they really do just finish off the cabin at night worth the extra money.

Wierd that my insurance actually went up though.

Anything you particularly like?

Picking mine up today and ive ordered the LED ambient lights too, but my insurance actually came down a little bit

My insurance went down too. £214 with 20 quid cashback. Was surprised to get it under £200.

I m 40 and the Karoq is the first factory order car I bought for myself (apart from the Hyundai Hybrid car for my wife )-  I've so far been driving Japanese cars bought used/approved used and this time too nearly went to buy a used Honda CRV, just for the Karoq to catch my attention !... so far very pleased with the choice..

My insurance too reduced … was surprised that a Skoda was cheaper to insure than my 12 year old Honda !

Ahhh I love it!! Didn’t want to go for the typical first cars.. Definitely don’t regret my decision! Plus I love being a little high up since I’m small

Yeah not quite as nippy as my Beamer but still more than enough!

Completely agree I was a little cautious when initially parking it but it’s a breeze with the camera and sensors (although they are very sensitive!)

LED lights / Ambient lights are amazing. I’ve sat with the little one (just turned 1!) on my lap and he loves it! Your right though they give the cabin a little more class. Think my insurance dropped but not by an awful lot.

I’m very impressed with the touch screen. I mean it looked great when I first saw it in showroom but using it daily it’s fantastic.
