1.3 mpi start problem

Featured Replies

hello i have no spark in ignition converter and so the car doesn't start. any advice?

@shakman - This isn't standard English for engine component names. However, it does sound like you need to check the feed and return from the "ignition converter".

It would also help if you could supply more details of the engine specification like car year, whether its carburetor or fuel injection, and Kettering arc or electronic ignition.

You killed him with this :)

Possibly, but I have even less idea what it's called in Egyptian than I do in Spanish! ;)

Beyond that either he has to tell us more about his car understandably or one of us has to grow a set that are crystal instead of just golden, yes?

Ken, chill. I have only observed that he struggles a lot in English, so using strange words in your answer was a bad idea and probably made his eyes bulge...

Umm... read carefully the title of the topic. Everything is in there if you know how to read it. It's a Felicia, it is a 1.3 l engine, it is a multi-point fuel injection, and it has an ECU. Now you can help him.

Read carefully his "personal information" (You will need a computer, not a "smart" phone for this. It states unequivocally that his car is a Favorit rather than implying from the stated engine type that it's a Felicia. So yes it's the 1.3 8 valve alloy block, but the stated info on fueling and ignition is now at least potentially contradictory.

Perhaps this topic will make you see why is he still having a Favorit while asking about Felicia with injection. He has only 2 topics so it was not too hard for me to understand from the beginning there is no contradiction with the title. Moreover, one can own any model of Skoda and ask for help on another model given it states it in title or message body. So feel free to teach him what to do next.

Maybe you have time to read every thread on the forum. I don't, so I rely on having the vehicle wit the issue clearly identified.

I'm sorry but exaggerations do not stand for valid reasons. It is definitely you who has replies all over the forum whether you have specific knowledge or not on that Skoda model.

I limit myself to Skoda Felicia and Favorit section because I own(ed) those cars and I have first-hand knowledge on them from doing numerous diagnosis, maintenance operations, and repairs. It is very easy for me to read every topic in this section because it is not my intention to break the record of replies on this forum no matter what...

But let's get back to shakman. Help him. Enlighten us.
