Hello, I have purchased (but still need to collect) a 2013 Octavia vRS. It doesn’t come with cruise control and it would be great if it could be Retro-fitted. Is it possible? Can anyone let me know who/where/how much?

I’d also like to get another set of alloys so I can use one set for winter and one for summer. Where’s the best place to look for decent second hand ones? Any for sale here?

Once I take delivery, I’ll post up some pics and hope to be an active member for many years

Check out the Wheels & Tyres for sale section: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/333-wheels-tyres-for-sale/

Also, search this forum for Cruise Control Retrofit. It should be possible and you may be able to get it done at a dealership, or do it yourself.

Many thanks

Yes its definately possible, there is a thread with all the détails & overall costs but it should be possible for a dealer to do it too.

If I remember right the cost wasnt so bad even for a dealer fit including coding the cruise activation (which must be done by the dealer).

Way back in 2007 when I purchased my mk5 Golf, VW dealers kept telling me cruise was only a factory option (£225).  Then by chance I checked a leaflet at one dealership which said cruise can be fitted for £150. Salesman went to check, found out that it could indeed be fitted to a MK5. So I bought their pre-reg GT.

£225 for a factory fit option or £150 for the exact same system to be added at the dealership. Crazy or what?  Hope you have similar luck with Skoda.
