question on front pdc retrofitting

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

I got the front PDC retrofit kit for my SuperB; I already have the rear ones, but my previous car had both front&rear, and I couldn't stand having less goodies on my new one :-P

I saw a couple of threads here about that, there's just one thing I'm not sure of.

The front sensors wiring loom, the one that goes inside the bumper, must be fitted with the socket on the left side (battery) of the car or the right one? (washer reservoir).

I expect to route the harness through the firewall almost behind the battery (on the other side there's turbo,... no good), but I read that the connection is made near the washer fluid tank..I

instead of undoing the bumper, reversing the connectors and refitting again, I think it's better to swap the pins in the connector wiring in the trunk.

Problem arose because of the "driver side" and "passenger side" explanations, here in Italy passenger and driver are reversed compared to the British vehicles

Thank you :-)

What is PDC?

Parking distance control. Front parking sensors IOW.

Retrofit done.

The bumper socket must be in the right side of the car... but the wiring loom comes out from behind the battery, which is on the left.

I think it's better to mount the bumper loom "reversed" as I did by mistake and to spend 5 minutes in swapping 4 pin in a connector in the trunk.

I'll produce a complete PDC retrofitting post

Hi Nicko,  any update on the complete retrofitting post :)

I also have the rear only PDC, what do I need to add the fronts?  just the wiring loom and the sensors?
