Mine sat at Emden from 29th May to 23rd June and has now sat at Grimsby from 25th June.  Ordered 13th Feb, built week 20.  No one cares.

Mine was build week 16, Just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to how they're shipped over in any sort of order. It just seems be a bit of a lottery. Not happy but what can you do?

My experience is clearly not as bad as yours but I have to say I think it's a disgrace the way that Skoda treats customers. I was told to stop fretting as the car is built and it will eventually be received. I received these comments on chat

I’m in the Northumberland area

After a long wait I collected my Karoq this evening too. 1.5 DSG SEL in Quartz Grey, with heated screen, spare wheel, electric boot, and Phone box.

Firstly the Phone box was not fitted because if the issues with signal boosters etc. But they gave me a refund for this so no big deal.

Discovered a couple of small dents in the bonnet thay we're missed during the PDI, the dealer has promised to get these rectified.

I was due to pick it up on Friday but was informed on Friday morning that it hadn't arrived, nothing like a bit of notice. But they did sort me out with a brand new Superb 2.0 TSI. for the weekend.......which was fun.

As for delivery time I have put my time line below...definitely not the best, but not the worst.

Ordered 18th Feb.
Quoted 12 weeks
Unconfirmed build wk16
Unconfirmed build wk25
Unconfirmed build wk21
Confirmed build wk21
Built 25th May
Arrived at Emden 1st June
Departed Emden 18th June
Arrived Grimsby 19th June
Due at dealer 25/06
Collection arranged for 29/07
Arrived at dealer 02/07
Collected 03/07

Total time 19 weeks

@Sockman, you could ask more dealers if they have any Karoq already ordered or in production.

Just don't understand why the differences timelines experienced, unless more ships to Newcastle than Grimsby

Dunks just been updated by my dealer and I might have an explanation. 3000 Audi's shipped to Grimsby when they should have not.... Sorting out the mess has taken time and impacted Skoda?

This really takes the biscuit!! what the hell is happening with the VAG Group, previous experience with Seat and VW were excellent but my plan to buy a 1.5TSI Edition DSG seems to have hit the skids, nobody seems to know what is going on, deliveries are all over the place and they don't seem to be handling the WTLP process very well. The latest price list dated 3/7/18 is still showing all the models including the Edition 1.5TSI but AFAIK this has be discontinued I like many people are very disappointed with the way that Skoda UK are handling the whole debacle, so much so that I have arranged a test drive in a Peugeot 3008 with the equivalent spec of the Karoq Edition which is in the same ball park on leasing costs. Current lead-times are approx 2 months but Peugeot are updating their petrol engines and auto boxes from October build to Euro 6.2 so if I do opt for the Peugeot this is what I will get. As much as I wanted to get a Karoq Skoda UK have really p@@sed me off and probably won't be getting my business.

Well let's hope they have sorted it!

There are two ships in Emden scheduled to arrive at Grimsby tomorrow

Wesser Highway

Necker Highway

heres hoping and praying!

i am part exchanging my current car which should have had a 3 year service by the end of June, dealer said it's ok if only a couple of weeks but any more than that I will have to have it serviced, I don't particularly want to pay for that then trade it in a week later!

I "spoke" on Skoda Live Chat today for the 1st time, asking the whereabouts of my now-built Karoq. Very helpful, & within minutes confirmed "it arrived in Emden on 29 June, released to ship, where it could remain for up to 10 working days". I'm hopeful that my experience won't mirror that of others on here by being delayed, but hey, it HAS been built & is on the way, so I'm happy ! Full marks to Skoda Customer Services & Live Chat, I've found them to be excellent :biggrin:B)

My dealer said same for mine, now at Emden and 5-10 days before shipping to Grimsby.

Grimsby is being sorted and excess Audi's are being shipped out.

Not sure if dealer has the full story but certainly something has been going wrong with deliveries and shipping.

For those cancelling there might be some cracking deals just before September if there is an excess of old stock needing to be registered and moved on...

Collecting mine tomorrow and yeah my wait at Emden was around 10 days or so, and it arrived at the dealers 2 days later

Still waiting for mine. Arrived Grimsby 26 June according to Skoda, and is still there awaiting a transporter. Zero contact from dealer still, only updates I get are from Skoda. It was built 3rd week in April. Not impressed.

That's dreadful service from your dealer and extraordinary amount of time from build to current progress.  I understand mine is now on the Wesser Highway due at Grimsby tonight. I guess it will then join the queue for transportation to the dealer.

Just to update on my previous posts. I received an email from my local Skoda dealership this morning! They inform me that i can order  Karoq 1.5 TSI SE L 150PS Manual. Lead time will be 20 weeks so delivery around November/December. Would be 2019 spec. The digital dash would be an optional extra  (price not known as yet). Edition trim has now been closed by the way.

IMHO, the digital dash is not worth paying for.

Go to a VW dealer and have them show it to you. Then make up your mind if that is an advantage to you to have or not,

Whats more VAG has just sent the Aquarius Ace to Grimsby (with Seat Ibiza, Arona, Leon from Barcelona, and cars from Setubal (Alhambra, VW caddy’s etc).  It’s a much bigger ship, holds something like 5000 cars, although some would have discharged at Sheerness.

I guess they will all be competing for road Transporters

We are a week away it's at the dealers today but we can't get there for a week. So I think that's 9 weeks late due to the rear seats

When did you order the car?  Is it at Llandudno?

I just collected my SE L yesterday and was originally going to wait for the digital dash but glad I didnt bother now, the normal dial display is great IMHO, very pleased with it :)

I eventually received my car after a frustrating wait from January to eventual delivery end June. I live in the Northeast and my car was not sent to the ports of Newcastle or Grimsby .... it was off loaded at Sheerness! - you couldn’t make it up.

Yes the car is great but when it’s time is up I will not put myself through this experience again .... I will not consider ordering a Skoda again. As for Skoda UK who I involved towards the end they said plenty but it was all meaningless - they would not accept that the wait was anything but normal and within their time limits. JOG ON Skoda!
