Android auto head unit

Looks good. You made the right choice IMHO, the MIB2/2.5 units are very good from a function and usability perspective.

I wouldn't mind matt black wrapping the plastic trim around my gear stick actually, it's that shiny allegedly "piano black" plastic and was scratched to hell when I bought the car.

Looks great. OEM is deffo the right choice!

Thanks.

@uchuffi have the crappy looking pinstripe silver. Had a go at pulling it free earlier when refitting the screen but couldn't budge it. Will need to read up on how it goes together.  I fear the little badges for the gears (it's dsg) are stuck on somehow so may end up covering them or getting another sticker.

I'm actually so happy with it I may do the same when I get an 8inch screen.

Also do you know if the mib2 or mib2.5 units with CarPlay still have this EQ sound limiting function when the bass goes up??

since oem alpine pioneer units are near £900 I’m debating whether a mib2 or newer is a cheaper way I upgrade but I’d avoid it if I still have that EQ problem......

if you mean bass roll off? then yes all cars with standard speakers will have bass roll off at higher volume to protect the cheap speakers. Canton bass roll off is not as pronounced with better quality speakers.
